The comprehensive assessment organizes 34 themes into four powerful domains that help our team members understand how they can work best together to raise hope and provide healing. These include:

This month, The Hope Treatment Center will begin welcoming youth and families as they embark on their healing journeys, marking the conclusion of a three year long project to bring the first Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) program for teens to Ohio.

The Hope Treatment Center will provide specialized, around-the-clock care for up to 48 children, half of whom need PRTF care and currently fall into a gap in the state’s mental health system,requiring a higher level of care or support than is available in a home setting without the need for hospitalization.

Part of a $35M project that renovated and expanded the campus’ existing Dining Center and Education Center, this expansion increases our capacity to serve nearly 100 youth on our Residential Treatment Services campus in Grove City .

This incredible milestone was made possible through our close collaboration with Nationwide Children's Hospital, the construction expertise of Elford, Inc., and the incredible outpouring of support from our community of donors.

To everyone who helped bring this achievement in care for youth in Ohio to life, you have our gratitude.

Yesterday, The Columbus Dispatch spotlighted an important milestone for The Buckeye Ranch — the ribbon cutting for our brand-new Hope Treatment Center and residential campus expansion in Grove City!

As Ohio’s first Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) program for teens transitioning from psychiatric hospital care, the Hope Treatment Center provides 24/7 support for youth ages 12–17 in spaces designed to help them heal and thrive.

As The Buckeye Ranch's President and CEO, Vickie Thompson-Sandy, shared, “The kids that we are taking care of are kids who are just not seeing hope for tomorrow and who have attempted su***de, or who are really struggling. It's a life-saving opportunity for the kids who come here."

Hope has a new home in Ohio! Today, The Buckeye Ranch, in partnership with Nationwide Children's Hospital celebrated the ribbon cutting of The Hope Treatment Center – marking the completion of a three year long project to bring the first Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) program for teens to Ohio.

The community joined us for a commemorative ceremony for the new 57,000-square-foot building, along with the renovation and expansion of the campus’ existing Dining Center and Education Center.

Attendees were provided with a guided tour of the state-of-the art facility and engaged with team members dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for youth in need of healing and stability.

This event marks an incredible and necessary step forward for children's mental health care in Ohio. Together with Nationwide Children's Hospital, we are ensuring that families in crisis can receive exceptional care, right here in our community.

Thank you to all of our board members, community partners, donors, team members, vendors, and supporters who made this milestone possible!

We can't wait to begin welcoming youth to the Hope Treatment Center in late December.

Meet Samiyah, one of the first young adults supported by The Buckeye Ranch Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) program after it began operation in November of 2023. ⭐

At 17, she had been in and out of seven different residential placements before finding healing and stability through PRTF treatment at The Buckeye Ranch.

Through therapy, structure, and support, Samiyah learned to trust again, rediscover her passions, and find her voice. Today, she’s working towards continuing her education and dreaming of a future career helping kids heal—just like she did.

This year, we turned up the volume on hope and healing:

🎵 We supported 9,219 individuals served across our four service lines

🎵We provided 15,442 outreach and prevention encounters

🎵 Aided healing for 24,661 total individuals through service, outreach, and prevention – that's a 14% YoY growth!

💿 Top tracks?
- Integrated Care Services: 4,893 individuals served
- Child Welfare Services: 2,284 individuals served
- Community-Based and Education-Based Mental Health Services: 1,834 individuals served
- Residential Treatment Services: 208 individuals served
