Today’s patient came in with classic signs of a pars defect — a small stress fracture in the back of the spine which can cause slippage of the vertebrae. ( See arrows)
Symptoms?
❌Sharp morning pain
❌Pain with standing or extension
❌Sitting pain
❌Tight hamstrings
❌Activity flare-ups
This injury is common in active teens, lifters, and anyone who does a lot of extension-based movement.
The good news?
With the right plan — activity tweaks, core stabilization, gentle chiropractic care within tolerance, and targeted rehab — these injuries heal well.
