Period pain is common — but severe pain is not something you should have to “just live with.”
While mild cramping can be a normal part of your cycle, intense pain that disrupts your daily life, causes nausea, heavy bleeding, or keeps you home from work or school may be a sign of something more, like endometriosis.
Endometriosis occurs when tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of it, which can lead to significant pain, inflammation, and other symptoms. Many women experience symptoms for years before getting answers.
If your period pain feels overwhelming or different than what you’d consider typical cramps, it’s important to talk to a healthcare provider. Your pain is real — and you deserve support and solutions. 💛
If you have severe period pain, pelvic pain, pain during s*x, fertility troubles, and fatigue, those may be signs you have endometriosis. Treatment can help.
