New woodchips in the run is the chickens fav thing! All the yummy bugs to scratch out! No need to spread the piles of chips - they do it for me! ❤️🐓❤️

So I was talking with Lauren the other day and telling her that we needed to put a major amount of woodchips into the runs. And I was explaining that with chicken p**p and wood chips, the dirt in there must be the best, fertile soil around! And we hit upon the idea to dig some out to put in the top of some of my boxes. So I did! This will go into the top of my patio boxes to replace the soil that has sunk down a little. I expect an awesome crop of lettuce, radishes, green onions, kale, etc this year!!!! ❤️🌱❤️

Most of my girls are 5 years old and they still start right back up with laying in the spring. Not every day but several a week. They get good nutrition (not just layer feed from the store) and are well taken care of. They are out on the grass almost every day and they get all the good stuff! Happy chickens make healthy eggs ❤️🐓❤️

Thank you to all the class participants this past few days. I hope you found the classes to be fun and informative! If I was out of an herb that you wanted, please contact me directly and I’ll get that ready for you and ship if needed.

I am taking today to get my house in order because much has been neglected in the past week, and I will also be answering messages that have been backlogged! I appreciate your patience with me ❤️
