Due to inclement weather, your friendly Medical Group will be executing a staggered release beginning at 1200. All appointments after 1200 will be rescheduled and someone from your provider team will be reaching out. We are expecting normal operations tomorrow.

We are excited to announce that the 509th Medical Group is offering a Shaving Class specifically designed for males with shaving waivers. This class will be held once a month with limited slots available!
Who should attend?
• Those with a pre-existing pseudofolliculitis barbae (PFB) profile requiring re-evaluation.
• Individuals with initial concerns regarding PFB.
How to schedule:
• Call the appointment line at 660-687-2188.
• Obtain a referral from your Primary Care Manager (PCM).
• Schedule online via the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal: https://my.mhsgenesis.health.mil/.
Mark your calendars! The first class will take place on January 29, 2026, at 1 p.m.

The 509th Medical Group will operate as a virtual clinic on Nov. 28, 2025. All services and appointments will be delivered via telehealth. Appointments may be booked by the appointment line before 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 26, 2025, or via the MHS Genesis Patient Portal (https://my.mhsgenesis.health.mil/pages/home) on or before Nov. 28, 2025. All ancillary services, including pharmacy, laboratory and radiology services, are also closed.
For acute urgent care, please call the Nurse Advice Line (NAL) at 800-TRICARE (874-2273), option 1, to speak with a registered nurse who can:
• Answer your urgent care questions
• Give you health care advice
• Help you find a doctor
• Schedule next-day appointments at military hospitals and clinics
• Provide referrals for urgent care (active duty only - family members and retirees do not require a referral)

If you experience a medical emergency during this time, please call 911 or proceed to your nearest emergency room.

Whiteman AFB Pharmacy: Big Improvements & Faster Service!
We are thrilled to share some fantastic news about the improvements we have implemented, to dramatically reduce your wait times and streamline operations!
How We're Doing Better Now:
• Faster Service: We switched to a fill-on-demand system, meaning we fill new prescriptions only when you let us know you need them.
o Urgent New Prescriptions: Ready in an hour (sometimes as fast as 15 minutes!).
o Routine Orders: Ready within 24 hours.
o Refills: They are consistently being completed by the next duty day.
• Better Results: Uncollected medications (return-to-stock) have decreased from 300 to about 16 per week! This frees up our staff to focus on getting your requested meds to you quickly.
• High Satisfaction: Our new text messaging service for refill requests and questions is a huge hit, helping us achieve an average customer satisfaction rating of 97%!

New or renewal prescription activations are no longer being done automatically. Please activate your prescriptions before coming to the pharmacy using one of these methods:
• Scan the QR Code
• Text “Get in Line” to 1-877-200-6516
• Go to the URL: https://cxmlink.com/MTF9472 on your computer
• Report to the pharmacy to fill out our intake form

⚠️ Updated Effective November 10, 2025: Texting Activation Change
Patients texting “Get in Line” will still receive a web link to select. The texting activation service will no longer be an option for those who do not have a web browser on their phone. (This is due to a change by the Q-Anywhere team). This only affects activation. You will still receive text messages about the status of your prescriptions!

The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

Your health and well-being remain our highest priority. The 509th Medical Group is open, and we continue to schedule appointments.
