Happy Easter!

This is my favorite time of year! The hyacinths, crocuses, and daffodils are beginning to pop through and bloom! Everything just feels new and alive!
-
Every year during this time, I bring new hyacinths into my home to enjoy the smell. Now as I walk in the room I’m greeted with the smell of Spring!
-
And when the weather allows, I’ll plant the bulbs so I get to enjoy them next year!
-
Wishing you all a wonderful Easter and hope you’re enjoying the flowers as they begin to bloom all around!

If only my hair was blowing from the outside fresh air!!

Today’s workout was sprint interval training…30 seconds all out followed by 2 minutes recovery. We included 3 rounds incorporating the bike, rower, slam balls and burpees.
-
This is a great workout used by teen and college athletes as well as for all the perimenopause and postmenopausal women!

Simple yet very effective!
-
This “sprint interval training” is especially recommended for all the perimenopausal and postmenopausal women out there! We want to stress the body enough for an adaptive change without over stressing the body and causing burnout.

Let’s talk health…real life, real world health and longevity.

Thankfully there is a new narrative discussing the need for strength and weight training in pre and post menopausal women.
-
Our member is a 76 yr postmenopausal woman who has been active (and to gyms) most of her life. She has loved training and exercising and was referred to us with pain and limited ROM in her back and a desire to work on her balance.
-
Over the past 2 years she went from private sessions not being able to lay flat to being a regular in our group classes 3-4 times a week!
-
And how awesome to have a Dexa Bone Density show all her hard work paying off!
-
14% INCREASE in the lumbar!! 1% in Radius, 2.3% in the left femur and 2% in the right femur.
-
That significantly decreases her fracture risk!
-
Here’s to a long a healthy life moving freely no matter our age!
