Hello Clearly Connected Community! How are you doing today? ☀️ Has anyone out there ever had surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in N.Y.C.?

I scheduled a second opinion there with Dr. Westrich since I have enough to monitor with my other condition and this is my mobility for the rest of my life. I need to be in the best hands.

I like my doctor in Syracuse, but my left hip hasn't been great since operated on. It may be compensating for the other side at this point.

Any reviews or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Chronic pain and chronic conditions are invisible, but the strength it takes to live with them-and everything else that is associated, is not. Love to all of the warriors. Your light is authentic. 🫶

Mary reached out to Candice for life coaching for a number of different reasons.

As someone that spent most of her life in and out of traditional counseling and therapy, she was curious to know how this experience was going to be different.

She wanted to work towards living an outward life and a private life that are congruent with each other.

She no longer wanted fear and self doubt to hold her back.

2016 memory after my left hip replacement. 10 years later, I'm preparing to go in for the right side next month which will be my 4th major operation in just a little over 2 years. My 14th in this lifetime. Right now, I am exhausted on a number of levels and in a ton of pain, but my vision is clear moving forward.

I wish I could tell you that I've taken terrible care of myself. In fact it's quite the opposite.

What I can tell you is that I started to have a lot of hip pain when I was pregnant with my second son. At that time, my doctors chalked it up to the pregnancy, but a year after his birth I was still having severe issues and started seeing an orthopedic specialist. That is when I was diagnosed with a rare hip condition called acetabular protrusio. My doctor said I was most likely born with it.

While fighting other chronic conditions and complications, some of which I've shared, I found out that I tested positive for the MTHFR gene. This gene blocks your body's ability to properly detox, flush inflammation and keep the body balanced on a number of levels. My provider said this is a huge barrier to my health and I was most likely born with it.

Add all of that to the insurmountable level of terror, mistreatment, emotional abuse, emotional neglect, secrets, betrayl, and toxic stress that my body has carried from the moment I was born into the world-it killed my nervous system and was a recipe for chronic health issues overall from the start.

Which was truly present first and exacerbated what? Either way, it is all intertwined and is part of my life's work and purpose to face it head on.

I can't tell you how important it is to get Clearly Connected and break the cycles for yourself and your own family, on a number of different levels. It is my greatest accomplishment in life and it's an honor to help you do the same.

This next chapter is the one I've worked hardest for.
