There’s something powerful that happens when you bring people together over a simple meal and open up a real conversation.

Our recent lunch and dinner seminars were more than just presentations… they were moments of connection, education, and peace of mind.

As everyone enjoyed their meals, the questions started flowing. Thoughtful questions. Honest questions. The kind of questions families don’t always know where to ask. And that’s exactly why I do this.

Families today are making different choices when it comes to honoring their loved ones and those choices are being guided by both the heart and the reality of cost.

More and more families are choosing cremation over traditional burial. Not just because it is more affordable, but because it offers flexibility and control during a very emotional time. Instead of feeling rushed into a graveside service, families are taking time to gather in ways that feel meaningful to them. Some choose a celebration of life weeks or even months later. Others find comfort in keeping their loved one close, rather than visiting a cemetery.

There is a shift happening. Families want connection, simplicity, and the ability to grieve in their own way.

This is also why I chose cremation for myself.

I wanted to make things easier for my family. I did not want them burdened with last minute decisions or unexpected expenses. Preplanning gave me peace of mind knowing everything is handled and my family can focus on what truly matters being together.

Valentine’s Day dates all the way back to ancient Rome. It’s believed to be named after Saint Valentine, a priest who secretly performed marriages for couples when it was forbidden. Over time, February 14th became a day to celebrate love, devotion, and commitment. By the 1700s and 1800s, people were exchanging handwritten love notes, and today it’s a day filled with cards, flowers, and meaningful gestures.

But here’s the thing. Love isn’t just about the moment. It’s about preparation, intention, and making sure the people we care about are taken care of no matter what.
