Shoutout to Laura-Elena Garza, our Domestic Violence Regional Coordinator, for presenting at the 2025 National Conference on Domestic Violence in Kansas City, hosted by National Domestic Violence Hotline how regional coordination can strengthen partnerships and improve support for survivors. We’re so proud to see our team leading these important conversations and showcasing how care, community and connection drive real change for families. 💜

This year’s conference, themed Care. Community. Connection., brought together advocates, service providers and leaders from across the country to share innovative strategies and strengthen support for survivors. Laura-Elena joined these national conversations, highlighting the importance of collaboration and regional coordination in advancing domestic violence prevention and survivor care.

Today, we proudly celebrated the grand opening and official ribbon cutting of Lakeland Apartments — marking Phase 2 of the Homeless to Homeowner Campus, first envisioned by The Whole Child in partnership with Richman and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles.

This beautiful new development represents another major step in expanding housing opportunities for families and individuals in our community. Our team will continue to be onsite providing essential services, programs and events that help residents thrive turning housing into true home.
