Today was filled with smiles, conversation, and friendly competition! We kicked things off with a coffee and hot chocolate chat, where our residents shared what activities they’d enjoy and what they hope to see in the coming year. The conversation and laughter were so uplifting. We then moved on to a fun game of ladder toss, which had a great turnout and lots of cheering. We are so thankful for days like these that bring everyone together

Important Visitor Update

The health and safety of our residents is always our top priority here at Valley View. Due to an increase in flu and stomach virus cases in our community, we are temporarily limiting visitations to help protect our residents.

We kindly ask that anyone who is feeling unwell or has recently been sick please postpone your visit until you are fully symptom-free. If you are experiencing fever, cough, congestion, vomiting, or stomach symptoms, please help us keep our residents safe by visiting at a later time.

If you do choose to visit, masks are available at the entrance, and we kindly ask that you wear one while inside the building to help protect our residents.

We understand how important time with loved ones is, and this decision is not made lightly. These precautions are temporary and are being taken out of an abundance of caution.

Thank you for your understanding, support, and continued care for our residents. 💙

Christmas Day at Valley View was filled with warmth, joy, and meaning.
We shared cups of hot chocolate while Ms. Elinor read the Christmas story from the Book of Luke, reminding us of the true reason for the season.

We are so thankful to Whitwell Church of Christ for blessing our home—every resident received a Christmas gift, and every heart felt remembered and loved.

It was a beautiful day of faith, fellowship, and Christmas cheer. ❤️

Now that we have shared the exciting news with our residents and community partners that volunteer, please join us in congratulating Rhonda on her promotion to Activities Director.
She has shown such a strong commitment to compassionate care, teamwork, and the well-being of our residents since 2020. We are very grateful for her dedication and look forward to the positive impact she will continue to make in this new role.

We had so much fun today! We’ve been celebrating for two days—yesterday with our residents and their families, and today with our wonderful staff. Our residents absolutely loved watching us play games and even jumping in on some of the fun with us today. These are the moments that make this feel like home, and we wouldn’t trade them for anything. 💙

Tonight was our Christmas dinner, and this year we enjoyed breakfast for dinner with our residents and their families. We love making the holidays feel like home, and there is nothing more special than seeing our residents relaxed, happy, and making lasting memories with the people they love.

Brother JB Jones blessed our meal, and the Smith family filled the room with beautiful Christmas songs that truly set the tone for the evening. Our amazing kitchen staff knocked it out of the park once again, and we are so grateful for all their hard work.

A big thank-you to the WHS Interact Club for all of their help, and to everyone who cooked, served, volunteered, and even came just to sit and share a meal with us. Your kindness and support mean more than words, and you helped make this night truly special for our residents and their families. ❤️🎄

Lorinda from Gentiva was feeling festive and stopped by Valley View to visit and play penny toss with our residents. We always appreciate the time she spends with us—whether she’s playing games or doing activities, or simply sitting and visiting with everyone. Our residents truly enjoy her company, and moments like these mean so much to all of us. 🎄💙
