So this happened yesterday.

3:15pm we get a call asking if we do X-rays. We call back and find out patient had a foreign body in his finger. He apparently had gone to a provider that attempted to remove it but was unable to do so. He really doesn’t want to go to ER.
After getting xray we figure out the piece of metal is not in the joint and proceed to remove.
We successfully remove the foreign body. He gets his order for Tetanus and is out the door by 4:14 pm. Just in time for a date with his wife!
Great ending is what we love most! We saved our member, the time he would have spent in the ER, and the huge deductible for an ER visit.

This one visit saved him enough money for DPC care for at least a couple of years!
