High Plains has an immediate opening for maintenance personnel. This position will be responsible for daily maintenance of our 4 group homes, office, day hab and 5 vans. Qualified applicants will have general maintenance skills including basic sheetrock repair, painting, working on appliances such as washers, dryers, water heaters and dishwashers, fence repair, etc.. Van maintenance is checking fluids, tire pressure and general operation of vehicle. This position will be a contract position and will run 30-35 hours per week with pay ranging from $17 - $20 per hour based on skill set. George and I always celebrate our birthdays together and the ladies at the office really did it up right today. Strawberry AND chocolate cake, tons of gifts, laughs and cards from the clients. We are truly blessed to be loved by these amazing people, who care about us enough to make sure we feel special and celebrated.
Thank you Stacey, Courtney, Ivon, Shica, Stacy and Erika for one of the best birthday celebration we've ever had. A special thanks to my Carter bug who turned me into a superhero on my card. ❤️

Thankful Thursday wouldn't be complete if we didnt recognize this dynamic duo. Carrie has been our contract social worker since 1991. She has been a part of every high, low, celebration and sadness we've had at High Plains. She is a sounding board for staff and clients and is always willing to listen and help someone work things out. She is a trusted friend and we are so blessed to have her on our team.
Her partner in crime, Tim, came on in 2012 to help us out with some short-term nursing and ended up being with us for 11 years. Tim served as our part-time contract RN for all those years helping take care of the medical needs of our residents. He has since moved on but will always be a part of the High Plains family.
Thank you Carrie and Tim for blessing us for all these years. ❤️
