Oh Ms. Margaret, on Thankful Thursday, we are so very thankful for you! Margaret has worked for High Plains since 2002 and has worked at every facility, plus day hab, and worked with every client that resides at High Plains. Margaret is an educator by trade, having served as a teacher for WFISD for many, many years. She has since retired but continues to bless the children in our school system through substitute teaching. She brought her love of teaching to High Plains and has been helping guide and teach daily living skills for all these years. Margaret is fun, friendly, intelligent and just all around an amazing woman and an example to all of those around her. She is precious to us all and we are so proud to have her as part of our team.

James has really had a full day of celebrating. Thank you to The Pecan Shed for the free piece of birthday fudge 😋. Tonight its bacon cheeseburgers at Braums then home for cake, ice cream and presents. What a great day!!

Today we are so thankful for Janet. We are celebrating our 20th year with her this year and couldn't be happier about that. Janet has filled many shoes in her time with us, working at every house, with every client, in every capacity. She helps grocery shop too! Janet has such a sweet smile and a friendly disposition. She's easy to get along with and our clients just love her. She has a mama heart and loves fiercely but she also has that tough love that pushes our people to do and be their best. Janet, we are thankful for you each and every day and we are so grateful you have chosen us for the past 20 years.

He wanted to go to the bar this morning 🤣 He constantly cracks us up and keeps us on our toes. May we all be so amazing when we reach his age.

Today we are so thankful for this precious woman. Connie has worked for High Plains since 1992. She started out as a direct care staff then promoted to house supervisor. She has retired twice but has returned again to work weekends. She is our cookie baker, grocery shopper, and the queen of active treatment! She is patient, kind, and is always one of the greatest supporters and cheerleaders for our clients. She loves them fiercely. She is truly one of a kind and we are so blessed that she has made High Plains her work home for the past 34 years. Thank you Connie for all you do! ♥️💐

It's Thankful Thursday and today we are so thankful for Paulette! Paulette has worked for High Plains for 25 years and for most of her time here, she has been an overnight staff at our co-ed facility. She retired for a brief time but came back to share her love for our special people. In addition to working overnights, Paulette also worked in our day hab for a while and has always been willing to work extra to help out at every facility. Paulette has a special love for our clients and is always so patient with them and takes extra time to teach them. Paulette is also a very thoughtful person with such a sweet demeanor. It has been a pleasure to work alongside her all these years. Our residents are so blessed by her and High Plains is so lucky she has chosen us for her work home.
Paulette, thank you for all you do at High Plains and for caring for all of us so well.
