A new Harvard study published in Neurology found that people who drink 3 or more alcoholic drinks per day may experience strokes an average of 11 years earlier than those who drink less.

Heavy drinking was also linked to:

As recreational ma*****na use becomes more common, emerging research is raising important concerns.

Studies suggest cannabis use may have negative effects on the brain and body. A recent French study linked cannabis to a higher risk of heart attack and stroke than co***ne, while Canadian research found a connection between cannabis-related hospital visits and increased dementia risk in older adults.

The study found hazardous levels of toxic heavy metals in some popular, non-FDA-authorized v**e brands โ€” including ELF Bar, Flum Pebble, and Esco โ€” which could significantly increase cancer risk.

This week, our new year begins! This may be a time for you to start setting some mental health goals, or adjusting to achieve some goals you didn't quite reach in 2025. Here are a few tips to help ensure that you achieve ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น mental health goals you set this year;

Use the ๐—ฆ๐— ๐—”๐—ฅ๐—ง method
๐—ฆpecific: Define exactly what you want to achieve
๐— easurable: How will you track it? (e.g. 15 min outside per day)
๐—”chievable: Is this a realistic goal for you right now?
๐—ฅelevant: Does it align with your core needs?
๐—งime-bound: Give yourself a deadline to focus on.

Don't forget to track your progress so you can see your growth and remember, baby steps are still steps! Progress, not perfection ๐Ÿ–ค Also, make sure to reward yourself along the way.

Being in recovery is one of the biggest acts of self-love, it's setting out on the journey of reclaiming yourself. Others may not understand and that's okay, do it anyway!
