Angel Coleman, LMSW

Angel Coleman, LMSW Hello!! Thank you for visiting my page. I am a licensed therapist and serve children, teens, families, adults and couples ✨️ You’ve found yourself concerned.

Is your kiddo struggling with worry, a sense of uneasiness, and endless concern? Maybe they’re struggling to transition into preschool or middle school. You notice they’re having trouble falling asleep at night, or they’re crying at the drop of a hat. You’re seeking comfort for your child. A place where they can feel at ease to open up about their thoughts and feelings. A place where they can begin to calm their overthinking and focus. As a therapist, I believe it is important to listen, encourage and advocate for children. I provide an inclusive, comfortable, and nonjudgmental environment where the child can be themselves. A place where the child can work to identify and express their feelings. My approach to therapy is solution-focused and advocacy-based. I believe it is important to focus on setting goals and working on reaching them together. I encourage the child to take part in learning and using the coping skills, and I believe children should be celebrated for their positive achievements.

Inner strength is not about holding yourself together at all times. It is the quiet knowing that even when life pulls you apart, you have the courage to gather your pieces with tenderness instead of shame. It is understanding that breaking does not make you weak. It makes you human. And choosing to rise again makes you powerful.

Real strength lives in the soft places. In the way you choose hope after disappointment. In the way you keep your heart open even after it has been wounded. In the way you learn to trust yourself again, slowly and honestly. It is the belief that your spirit was never meant to stay shattered, that healing is your birthright, and that every time you rebuild, you become someone wiser, deeper, and more whole.

You do not have to be unbreakable. You only have to remember that you are rebuildable.

Gratitude does not wait for life to be flawless. It breathes inside the ordinary. It grows in the quiet moments you almost overlook, the ones that whisper that your life is still unfolding in ways you cannot yet see. It lives in the warmth of morning light, in the softness of a kind word, in the stillness that reminds you that who you are today is not your final form.

Gratitude is the shift that happens when you stop searching for perfect days and start noticing the sacred pieces of the imperfect ones. It is the gentle awareness that even in seasons of waiting, healing, or rebuilding, something in you is still moving forward. You are still learning. You are still expanding. You are still becoming.

And that alone is worth pausing for.

Confidence is not born from certainty. It is born from courage. It grows in the quiet moments when you decide to trust yourself even as doubt tries to pull you backwards. It is choosing movement over perfection, curiosity over fear, and faith over the need to control every outcome. Confidence is not having the entire map. It is believing that you can handle the journey, one step at a time.

The truth is, you are not meant to see the whole path before you begin. If you did, you would never learn the strength that comes from walking it. You would never discover the resilience that rises in you when things don’t go as planned. You would never feel the deep pride that comes from realizing you kept going when you were afraid. Confidence is built through motion, through showing up again and again, through proving to yourself that even without perfect clarity, you are capable.

Your next step is enough. It will lead you exactly where you need to go.

This time of year can be such a difficult time for so many of us. The holidays, whether you celebrate them or not, are all around us and may seem inescapable. December for those of us in the snowy regions sort of seems quiet in many ways when then snow is a fresh fallen blanket… but December also has a way of turning up the volume on so many things. If you are struggling, and finding the noise of it all overwhelming, please reach out… reach out to someone here on the page, to a friend, to a loved one, to someone safe in your life. If you know someone who may struggle during this time, please PLEASE reach out and check on them!! Anyone be it a family member, a friend or work colleague, even an acquaintance… if they seem distant, or appear off in some way, check in with them. Don’t pressure them to share, but offer to sit with them even if they don’t want to share. Just reaching out and checking on someone can make all the difference in the world. Be kind folks — to yourself and to others. Kindness is FREE!
