Is your kiddo struggling with worry, a sense of uneasiness, and endless concern? Maybe they’re struggling to transition into preschool or middle school. You notice they’re having trouble falling asleep at night, or they’re crying at the drop of a hat. You’re seeking comfort for your child. A place where they can feel at ease to open up about their thoughts and feelings. A place where they can begi
n to calm their overthinking and focus. As a therapist, I believe it is important to listen, encourage and advocate for children. I provide an inclusive, comfortable, and nonjudgmental environment where the child can be themselves. A place where the child can work to identify and express their feelings. My approach to therapy is solution-focused and advocacy-based. I believe it is important to focus on setting goals and working on reaching them together. I encourage the child to take part in learning and using the coping skills, and I believe children should be celebrated for their positive achievements.
