Check out the vision board one of our patients created!

The new year doesn’t have to start with big resolutions. Sometimes it starts with simply casting the vision. Reflecting on what matters, what you want more of, and how you want to feel moving into the year ahead.

After a brain injury, setting goals can look different. Progress can be slower. Plans may change. And that’s okay. What matters is having hope, direction, and the space to imagine what’s next.

We’re honored to support our patients as they dream and take action toward a future that feels meaningful to them.

What's on your vision board for 2026? Empowering more patients to heal in new cities is one of ours! 🙏

We've had a ton of elves in our therapy center this month baking Christmas treats!! 🎄🍪

Cooking together gives our patients a chance to practice real-life skills. Ones like planning, coordination, problem-solving, and confidence, all in a space that feels familiar and fun.

Therapy doesn’t always look like exercises and worksheets. Sometimes it looks like laughing around the counter, following a recipe, and sharing something you made with your own hands.

We strive to make healing feel human. 💙

... Loading New Therapy Center 🙏 Coming Spring 2026!

We’ve outgrown our current space as more patients choose to receive therapy in a center designed to support healing.

More room means more options. More freedom to move. More access to tools, modalities, and environments that support every stage of the healing journey; physical, cognitive, and emotional.

We’re honored by the trust our patients and families place in us and excited for what this next chapter will make possible.

This month at our Brain Injury Support Group, we're welcoming Debbie Walker, Senior LTSS Service Case Manager with Sunflower Health Plan. She’ll be breaking down what benefits are available, how to access them, and what support looks like for patients and families.

If you’ve ever had questions about coverage, services, or how Sunflower can support your care, this is a great chance to get real answers in a relaxed, supportive space.

🗓 Thursday, December 11
⏰ 6:00–7:30 PM
📍 Thrive Therapy of Kansas – 8335 E Kellogg Dr, Wichita

From internal promotions to new team members, we're excited to say we've rounded out our Wichita Case Management team and we couldn't be more excited!

Congratulations to all of them and to all of our staff who've helped them along the way.

Just two years ago, our team was made up of 8.. which is now the size of two of our case management teams now. We're now pushing past 50 team members in our admin offices across Kansas.

We can't wait to experience the type of growth that 2026 has in store for us. Stay close as we continue to help our patients thrive.

Neuroplasticity doesn’t just help restore lost functions after an injury, it also supports things like improving memory, strengthening attention, reducing overwhelm, rebuilding emotional regulation, and even relearning everyday tasks that once felt impossible.

Every repetition, every exercise, every moment of connection gives the brain a chance to create new pathways. Healing isn’t just physical… it’s rewiring, reconnecting, and rediscovering what’s possible.

So if progress feels slow, remember: your brain is working behind the scenes, reshaping itself one moment at a time. 💚

We had a blast at the Friendsgiving Lunches we hosted across our Therapy Centers in Wichita, Topeka, and our newest home in Lenexa.

But as fun and full as this season can feel for some, for others it can be overwhelming, or depressing even. For our patients, our families, and even for us.

So over the next few days, we’re slowing down. To breathe. To rest. To be present. And to remember those who aren't with us. We encourage you to do the same.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do for your brain, your body, and your healing is to pause and let yourself be human.

From all of us at Thrive Therapy of Kansas, thank you for the chance to walk alongside you.

SHE DID IT! After her brain injury, Joann needed a full 4-wheel walker but as you see now, she doesn't need it anymore!!

She was so proud of herself when she crossed the finish line recognizing how hard she worked to get here after a 2 mile-no-break Wichita Turkey Trot

Joann talked to us all about her late husband and leaned into him as her motivation throughout the walk.

We're beyond honored we got to be part of this chapter in her healing journey.

Help us congratulate her and leave some comments we can read to her next time we see her. Follow along as we tell her story and so many other stories we get to be part of.

Being grateful after a brain injury doesn’t always come easy. And that’s okay. Because it changes routines, energy, speech, speed of movement and sometimes even the way you see the world.

But even when its hard, striving to find gratitude in the every day things can create real impact in life.

We asked our patients to share one good thing that happened to them this month. Some shared a big win. Some were grateful for the every day things.

Every one of them is a powerful reminder that we can choose gratitude at anytime, despite what we’ve been through.

Our hearts are full hearing that they look forward to their time with each other. Nothing compares to being around others experiencing a similar journey.
