Cars for Charities is brininging another great car show with a fun filled kids zone to Century II next month with 100% of the net proceeds going to benefit programs for youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We are blessed to be a beneficiary of their support. Make plans to join us January 17 and or 18.

We are officially ONE MONTH AWAY from the 2025 Cars for Charities Car Show. It will be held Saturday, January 17th and Sunday, January 18th at Century II. Discounted tickets are now on sale at Wichita area QTs. We hope to see you there!

AbilityPoint was nominated for Murdock Companies’ employee giving program by one of their employees whose daughter is served through AbilityPoint’s Targeted Case Management program, and we are incredibly grateful to receive a $5,000 gift as a result. This generous support will make a meaningful difference for the individuals and families we serve every day.

Mary receives services through AbilityPoint, and her Targeted Case Manager, Amber Shoopman, was honored to join today’s presentation. We are deeply thankful to the entire Murdock Companies team for recognizing the impact of AbilityPoint’s mission and choosing to invest in our community.

Our Story

The Arc of Sedgwick County makes a difference in the lives of individuals and families living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. For 65 years, The Arc has promoted their general welfare, fostered the development of programs on their behalf and increased the public’s awareness and acceptance. We provide educational programs and social experiences for youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

Our nonprofit organization began in 1953 in a grassroots effort by parents concerned about services and future opportunities for their children and the families and children of tomorrow. They had a vision for community based services. They thrived off of teamwork as they collaborated with and supported each other. The future generations have benefited from their passion and advocacy to achieve a better life for their kids and a better community to provide opportunities.
