InterHab members gathered at our Topeka offices for a governmental affairs prep session ahead of tonight’s legislative reception. It’s always inspiring to see advocates come together, share insights, and get aligned as we prepare to engage with lawmakers on the issues that matter most to Kansans with disabilities. The State of Kansas is implementing a new Community Support Waiver (CSW) this fall. This new waiver is meant to provide new services and supports separate from the more comprehensive Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) waiver.

We are currently in the public comment period for stakeholder review and feedback. Click the link below to learn more and share any thoughts or concerns. There will be virtual meetings and in person opportunities to learn more as well.

Some of our shooting stars self advocates once again out helping with the kid zone at the Cars for Charities Rod & Custom Car Show.

They presented a trophy to one of the longtime car owners Kenny White and his beautiful1950 Mecury. Kenny has been a great supporter of the show for years.
