Our Dedication

As this new practice was forming in 2002, Dr. David Reed’s wife Judy was losing her own battle with breast cancer. We dedicate this practice to the highest standards of care for the women of Kansas. For Judy, whose vibrant life and energetic voice was stilled by this cancer. For David, whose career was focused on finding and curing this disease, and whose dream led to this facility. The radiologists and staff at Cypress Imaging, a division of Wichita Radiological Group, PA, recognize that each person has unique needs. We do everything we can to ensure that each interaction is caring and compassionate. We use our expertise to perform and interpret medical imaging exams every day, but we know that it feels different to you. That’s why we always take time to answer your questions and ensure that you feel comfortable and confident during your visit.

Mammograms are the gold standard for breast cancer screening — but sometimes additional imaging is necessary. That’s where breast ultrasound comes in. It’s non-invasive, radiation-free, and especially helpful for patients with dense breast tissue.

Cypress Imaging also offers contrast-enhanced mammography and breast MRI for even more detailed screening when needed. Ask your provider if supplemental imaging is right for you.

Breast density refers to the amount of fibrous and glandular tissue in your breasts. It’s completely normal — but dense breast tissue can make it harder to detect cancer on a mammogram.

At Cypress Imaging, our 3D mammography technology improves visibility for all breast types, including dense tissue. If additional screening is needed, supplemental imaging such as contrast-enhanced mammography, breast ultrasound, or MRI can provide even more clarity.

Talk to your provider about your density and whether you may need additional screening.
