Meet our newest therapist, Crystal Hanna:
"I received my B.A. with a major in Strategic Communication and minor in Cultural Anthropology from Wichita State University and a M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University. I have always been interested in finding ways to communicate and connect across cultures, religions and languages. My previous work experience has been in childcare as well as various volunteering positions at non-profits.
I use a trauma-informed scope, and use Somatic practices in order to heal trauma stored in the body. I focus on creating a safe place to reprogram the nervous system. Some of my therapy experience includes: working with those affected by a family member with a personality disorder, complex trauma, codependency, infertility, parenting life cycles, marriage, single parenting, adjustment to new seasons of life, and those affected by religious trauma. Therapies I use most are IFS, Attachment-based, Narrative therapy, Mindfulness practices, and brain-based therapies.
A big part of my personal story has been working through the pain of many years of infertility issues. I learned that these vulnerable places can be our opportunities to find ourselves. It was through the mind/body connection, along with IFS therapy, that I began to find Self and find a passion for body-based practices. I have a passion for supporting those who are working through infertility struggles.
Wherever you are in your journey, it would be an honor to come alongside and support you."
