Real question…
What does mental wellness actually look like to you?

Join the Conversation: Mental Wellness & Su***de Prevention

I’m looking to put together a community conversation and training around mental wellness and su***de prevention through The A.R.T. Project.
This is something that matters deeply to me, and I know a lot of people have been impacted by it in one way or another.
Right now, I’m looking for a few like-minded people who believe in the mission, may want to help support the event, or are open to sharing their perspective or story in a meaningful way.
If this speaks to you, comment below or message me directly.
Sometimes all it takes is one conversation to make a difference.

Mental Health Monday™

Real question…

What does mental wellness actually look like to you?

Not the textbook answer.
Not the “I’m good” response.
But the real version.

What does mental wellness truly look like in your life right now?

Today we celebrate you.
We honor your life.
We speak your name with love.

Arthur Gary, you are the heartbeat behind The A.R.T. Project — Aware • Reach • Teach. Your life and your story became the catalyst for purpose. What was once pain became passion. What was once loss became legacy.

Because of you, conversations are happening.
Because of you, stigma is being challenged.
Because of you, lives are being reached.

Your birthday reminds me why I do this work — why mental health awareness matters, why su***de prevention matters, and why we must continue to show up for one another.

You are missed beyond words, but your impact continues to ripple through every workshop, every presentation, every life touched through The A.R.T. Project.

Today we celebrate you.
Today we remember you.
Today we continue the mission in your honor.

Forever loved. Forever remembered. 💜🩵

Reach Out Wednesday™

Theme: You Never Know Who Needs You Today

Someone is carrying something heavy — and you might be the one person who helps lighten the load.

A quick message.
A check-in.
A kind word.

These small moments of connection can interrupt loneliness, soften anxiety, and remind someone that they matter.

Today’s reminder:
If someone crosses your mind, reach out.
If you need support, speak up.
You don’t have to struggle alone — and neither does anyone around you.

Reaching out can save a life.
Connection is care.

Reach Out Wednesday™

Theme: Hope, Connection & Community Support

Today we honor Suspenders4Hope Day — a citywide commitment to promoting mental wellness, preventing su***de and overdose, and reminding our community that support is always within reach.
And fittingly, it’s also National Hugging Day— a beautiful reminder of the healing power of connection.
Whether it’s a hug, a conversation, or a simple “I’m here for you,” your presence can be life-changing.
Mental health awareness matters. Su***de prevention matters.

Reaching out matters.
Many people carry silent battles, and your kindness could be the moment that gives them hope.

Today’s reminder:
• Check in on someone.
• Offer a hug if it’s welcomed.
• Share a resource.
• Let someone know they’re not alone.

Hope grows when we reach out.

Reach Out Wednesday™
Theme: Checking In Saves Lives
Someone is silently hoping you’ll reach out.
A text.
A call.
A simple “How are you really doing?”
You don’t need the perfect words — just a willing heart.
Sometimes being present is more powerful than trying to fix anything.

Today’s reminder:
If someone crossed your mind, that may be your sign to reach out.
And if you are the one struggling — it’s okay to let someone know.
Connection is care. You are not alone.

Reach Out Wednesday™
Theme: The Power of Checking In

A quick check-in can change someone’s entire day. We never truly know what someone is carrying — grief, stress, loneliness, or silent battles they don’t know how to talk about yet.

Reaching out doesn’t have to be big or perfect.
It can be:
• “Just checking in on you.”
• “I’m here if you need me.”
• “Thinking of you today.”

Small words. Huge impact.

Today, take a moment to reach out — your message might be the light someone needs.

A reminder that compassion doesn’t require grand gestures — just presence.

Who can you check on today?

Reach Out Wednesday™

*Theme: You Deserve Support Too*

A reminder that support is not something you earn — it’s something you deserve. Check on your strong friends. And if you’re the strong friend… reach out today. You matter, too.

-You don’t have to be the strong one all the time.

-Even the people who encourage others… need encouragement.

-Even the helpers… need help.

-Even the ones who “seem fine”… deserve a safe place to fall apart and rebuild.

Reaching out isn’t a burden — it’s a brave step toward balance, healing, and connection.

This week, give yourself permission to ask for what you need.
Support is meant for you, too.

Reach Out Wednesday ™

Theme: Connection is Care

-This is your midweek reminder:
You don’t have to go through it alone.
Reaching out — whether to a friend, a therapist, or a support group — is not a sign of weakness; it’s a step toward healing.

Sometimes, “I’m struggling” is the bravest thing you can say.
And sometimes, “How are you, really?” is the most powerful thing you can ask.

- Midweek Reflection:
Who can you reach out to today — for support, or simply to remind them they’re not alone?

Let’s make connection contagious.
