Checking my equipment before I go to bed. Hoping that the air quality remains in the green. Planning to finally resume teaching tomorrow so long as my body allows me to have decent sleep.

I had an embarrassing moment this morning! 😳 My laptop updated and restarted just before my Zumba Gold class. As I rushed to get all the digital stuff set back up and start the meeting, I realized that I had my first drop in from the Zumba website! 🎉

I was so happy and worked hard to give her the best Zumba Gold experience only to find out after class that they couldn't hear the music. I taught the entire class without sound. I had forgotten to share my computer sound and NO ONE TOLD ME! 😭😭😭Usually someone says something if there's an issue. I was mortified after class when the drop in said she would not be returning because she thought Zumba was supposed to be about the music. 😲😲😲 I moved quickly to explain the error and demonstrate the resolution, assure her that Zumba DOES have music, and offered her a free class to give her the opportunity to try again. She said she'd be back to try again next week.

I've made a sticky note posted above my camera as a reminder, but...folks....📣 if you are experiencing an issue in your virtual class, PLEASE flag your teacher down. Come close and wave at the camera, send a chat, do sign language, SOMETHING! 📣 We often can get caught up in the moment and won't know otherwise! I hope to redeem myself next week and promise to do better going forward. 🙏🏼
