Jill Rink, our amazing pharmacy manager, was invited by our PRN pharmacist and KU professor Susan King to speak to KU Pharmacy students. She highlighted the compassion and impact behind a hospice pharmacist’s day, inspiring the next generation. Great work Jill!

Our agency is honored to be chosen as the recipient of $10,000 in the "America's Favorite Photos" contest - if this photo is voted #1 (photo in link below)! Waldo, the adult cat in the photo, was a long-time cherished family pet of the gentleman who submitted the photo. Waldo recently passed due to health issues and aging. In his honor we ask if you would consider voting for his photo. (No purchase necessary.) Please see link below. Thank you!

At the conclusion of the 2025 Lights of Life tree, Ed Griswold and the Lights of Life tree elves presented the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice team with a framed replica of the Lights of Life star. When the Lights of Life was first in production, it was suggested that the star might resemble the Harry Hynes Hospice logo. This was the first prototype saved and framed as a memento to be displayed at the Harry Hynes Wichita office. The Lights of Life tree has raised over $100,000 for the patients and families served by Harry Hynes. Thanks to Ed, Easton and the entire Lights of Life tree team!

We are overjoyed with gratitude that Gus and Amy Torres of A Better Solution In Home Care Ks for gifting us with a Quest Virtual Reality headset. We have so many patient requests that these will be in high demand. Recently when asked if there’s anything we could do to help a patient, they joked they wanted to see the Eiffel Tower. We can now take them there with these special goggles. Thanks Gus and Amy for granted patient wishes with this generous gift.

ISO: Quest 3S Virtual Reality Headset (similar to the one in the photo)

We have a need for a Quest virtual reality headset to use for patients at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. We get requests from patients who are at the end of their life journey, but never made it to a place on their bucket list. For instance, recently had a patient who requested to go to the Eiffel Tower. We would be able to use the goggles to help fulfill a wish.

Do you by chance have a pair that you are no longer using, and would be willing to donate? Used in good condition are totally fine. If you have an interest, we’d be happy to give you a tax-deductible receipt for your donation. Please PM us or call 316-265-9441 and ask for Donor Development if you can help! Thanks so much!
