Today was the first day we went to United Methodist Open Door & volunteered our services to help feed the unhoused. It was such a wonderful experience for our staff to be able to give back to our community in this way!

We have committed to visit Open Door quarterly to build connection & serve our community in the best way we know how; “being the change we wish to see in the world!”

A man was singing throughout the time we spent there “Jesus is on the main line, tell Him what you need” & we couldn’t have agreed more with his worship!

Thank you Lord for this opportunity you have given us to be a vessel in this community, in this city, & in this world!

Hello family and friends!

We wanted to remind you that this upcoming month of March we will be hosting our very first meeting with high school students grades 9th-12th.

Every first Saturday of every month we will meet at RFS.

We will be educating them on scholarships and different options of schooling they will have access to once they graduate and much more!

We will be hosting from 11:00am to 3:00pm on March 7th!

Lunch will be provided!!

We have our first Foster Parent Orientation being hosted April 4th, 2026!

What to expect:
-Lunch will be given to those families who attend
-There will be childcare provided for any family that brings their children
-Implementing & reiterating foster family policies, trainings, and procedures

🗣️Family and Friends!

Do we have an opportunity for you! Do you know Andy high school aged children or have any that is needing a little help in taking that next step in life???

Well stop 🛑 scrolling because this post is for you & your high school children! Restoration Family Services has dedicated every first Saturday of the month to help high school students who are sophomores through seniors with educating them about college and scholarships. Yes! We are offering free services and free lunch for any high school student that wants to pursue college or any other avenue related to education!

Our next meeting is scheduled for March 7th from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at RFS in the computer lab. Lunch will be provided (Jimmy John’s). Sophomores, juniors, and seniors will have the opportunity to learn more about financial aid and the scholarship application process. Students will also explore postsecondary options, including two-year colleges, four-year colleges, trade schools, and online programs. Students who are unsure of their future plans are welcome to attend and explore their options as well.

Meet Sharilyn Ray,

The inspiring founder and CEO of Restoration Family Services. In September 2017, after nearly five years in child welfare, Sharilyn felt a calling for a new approach. Driven by a desire for meaningful change and guided by her faith, she embarked on a mission to bring healing and restoration to families through Christ. Instead of taking the easier path, Sharilyn embraced her calling, allowing her work to be a vessel for God's transformative power in the lives of children and their families. Her employees would describe her as knowledgeable, generous, supportive, ethical and trustworthy. When Sharilyn is not at work she enjoys playing volleyball, spending time with her foster, adopted, and biological children and is eagerly awaiting the arrival of her first grandchild in February 2025!
