Wow! What a wonderful message we received today from one of the hospice nurses that comes into agape home plus to see our resident.

“Can I just tell you how much I love your team. They are always so so friendly and willing to help answer any questions I may have. Also the way they treat the residents , if my family member was here, I'd know they were cared for extremely well.”

❤️Today we had the honor of attending the funeral of a truly special gentleman who once called our home his own. He lived a remarkable 98 years, and during his time with us he shared countless stories, lessons, and reflections from a life richly lived. He had a natural gift for teaching, and conversations with him were never ordinary — they were filled with wisdom and perspective that left a lasting impression on all of us.

❤️His presence at Agape home plus was a privilege, and we are deeply grateful for the time we were given with him. Caring for him was not simply a responsibility; it was an honor.

❤️Both his daughter and son expressed their heartfelt gratitude to us on several occasions. They shared that after experiencing difficulties with other care settings, they were understandably anxious about entrusting their father to another home. Knowing that they ultimately found comfort, peace of mind, and confidence in the care we provided means more to us than words can fully convey.

❤️He will be remembered fondly, and we carry forward the lessons, laughter, and kindness he shared with us. It was a privilege to be part of his journey.

Last night, one of our precious elders went home to be with the Lord. 🤍
It is always an honor—and a responsibility we never take lightly—to walk alongside someone and their family during the final chapter of life.

I remember the day his family came to us after touring several care homes, trying to decide where to place their beloved father. They shared with me that they had already entrusted several other family members to care homes in the past—and sadly, none of those experiences had been positive. In fact, one had been deeply traumatic for their mother. After hearing their story, I did not hesitate to assure them that their father would be safe with us and cared for with compassion, dignity, and integrity.

As a nurse who is present and involved every day, I know firsthand the level of care each resident receives. Because of that, I can confidently say that our residents receive excellent, attentive care 24 hours a day.

Today, I spoke with this elder’s daughter. She expressed heartfelt gratitude and praised our staff for the care and love shown to her father. She reflected again on the difficult experiences her family had endured elsewhere and shared that she wished they had known about us when their other loved ones needed care.

Moments like this reaffirm why we do what we do. Our mission has always been simple: to care for each resident as if they were our own family—and to honor every life entrusted to us.
