It’s Dental Assistant Recognition Week, and we are celebrating BIG this week! 🦷✨

Being a dental assistant is so much more than a title — it’s a heart for people, a gift of anticipation, and a passion for helping others feel confident in their smile.

We are beyond grateful for our two incredible assistants, Kendra and Mirna. Working side-by-side with two strong, compassionate, and talented women every day is such a gift. The teamwork between them is seamless — the unspoken communication during procedures, the way they comfort patients, and the way they support each other and our entire team is something truly special.

So what does a dental assistant really do?

Today we’re celebrating Kendra, who has been working alongside Dr. Volker for the past 6 ½ years. Her dedication, loyalty, and heart for this office truly shine in everything she does.

Kendra loves being a mom to her daughter and stepdaughter, who are both seniors this year — a season of life that makes her especially proud. Outside the office, you’ll find her working out, enjoying the outdoors, and making memories at concerts.

In the office, Kendra’s caring nature is felt by every patient she serves. She goes above and beyond to make people feel comfortable, supported, and truly cared for. She’s always ready to jump in, help the team, and support Dr. Volker in countless ways.

We are so grateful for her heart, her hard work, and the joy she brings to our Smile Connections family.
