NAMIWalks Wichita FAQs:
• Is NAMIWalks Wichita open to the public?
Yes! NAMIWalks Wichita is a free, open community event focused on raising mental health awareness and reducing stigma. Everyone is welcome.
• Does it cost anything to participate?
Nope! Registration is completely free for all participants.
• Does everyone need to register?
Yes. Anyone participating in the Walk must be registered – either in advance or on Walk Day. Registration is required for participation, but it is always free!
• Is fundraising required to walk?
No. Fundraising is encouraged and deeply appreciated, but it is not required to participate.
• Do participants have to wear a NAMIWalks shirt?
No. NAMIWalks shirts are optional. Participants are welcome to wear team, school, business, or organization shirts (like team outfits, business swag, etc.) – or simply come as they are!
• How do participants earn a 2026 NAMIWalks shirt?
If a participant would like a 2026 NAMIWalks shirt, they will need to individually raise $100 for NAMI Wichita. Shirts are a thank-you gift for fundraising and are not required to walk.
• Can I start or join a team?
Absolutely! You can register as an individual, join an existing team, or start your own team. Invite friends, family, coworkers, neighbors – everyone is welcome!
Whether you walk, fundraise, volunteer, or simply show up – your presence helps bring hope, visibility, and connection to those impacted by mental health conditions and symptoms in Wichita and Sedgwick County.
