We are SO thankful for the support we’ve received in the last year. Launching several updates, changes, locations, and more, our community has been amazing. Seeing the ways we have collaborated with each other and other resources has been so beautiful.

Thank you Wichita!

A VERY simplified version of 4 options for change!

Does this resonate? Or does it bring up some defensiveness? Either way, it’s a useful perspective to go over with your provider.

Adding a little spice to holiday conversations 🔥

All of these responses are easier said than done. When we look at our options for change from a DBT perspective, only one is taking action (responding in this way). The other options are acceptance, perspective shifts, or staying miserable.

If you aren’t at a place to make any action, that’s ok! You don’t have to. I get it. It’s hard to not stay miserable if you don’t speak up. But there are other options! Shifting the perspective of their comment (I’m glad they want me to stay longer, etc) or acceptance (not approval but acceptance without resistance) could be more helpful!

Again, this is from a DBT 4 options for change perspective. This may not be everyone’s approach.

Want to save these for later? Go for it 😎

Our most recent addition to The Village! Meet Samantha Rose (honestly I could say her name all day because it rolls off the tongue so well). Sam has her PMH-C which stands for perinatal mental health certification.

She has begun consultations and she’s not afraid to share her valuable input, listens intently, and provides validation. I have a feeling she’s going to be a great addition!

Welcome!!

Two things can be true at once. Why we say it, how it applies directly, and what you can ask yourself to remember.

We are SO excited to officially have Angela as a part of The Village Provider Alliance. Angela is someone we have connected with more in the last year or so and now having her join is som**hing we’re super proud of!

She is knowledgeable, compassionate, and balanced (you’ll understand when you meet her). We are thankful to work more closely with her on cases and hear her perspectives in consultation.

Angela’s private practice is located in our main office so if you see her, say hi!

Our bodies do a GREAT job naturally detoxing our system. Fad diets, expensive cleanses, and more don’t truly get to the root of what we want, which typically is peace with our bodies.

We understand that there is nuance to these conversations. Obviously, comparing a juice cleanse to crystal m**h is for laughs (does Gen Z know what Pitch Perfect is???) but it does help us recognize some of the absurdity that diet culture teaches us.

Want peace with food and your body? You’re at the right place. We have trained dietitians, therapists, speech and language pathologists, pelvic floor therapists, and more to creat a team of providers that work together to help you meet your goals.
