We are so proud to share that we have started off the new year with a bang! We recently completed our annual accreditation survey and due to our exceptional team, we passed with flying colors! Our results, compared with similar hospitals across the country, were in the upper echelon of survey results! Only citing a few minor nonconformities, our survey team left with glowing praise of our team, our program and the great work we do each day at Corterra of Wichita.

This is just one of hundreds of examples of the work our team does each day to support seniors experiencing a mental health crisis. After some time in our hospital, a patient of ours discharged back to their community and left after sending this message to our team.

"Thanks to all of you for helping me deal with the loss of my mother. You all are super in my book, the way you all work together as a team is great!

Thank you for working with me to try and get my medications right, you have a very hard jobs, but you all do it with a lot of compassion and caring.

Thank you! I hope, if I have to go somewhere to get better again, I hope it will be here. Wishing you all the best in life and as the song goes, "I'm not okay, but it will be alright".

At Corterra of Wichita, we strive to ensure that we meet the specific needs of each and every patient we serve.

Recently, we had a patient with a work history serving in our electoral process in Kansas, and the wonderful team at our hospital went above and beyond to create a therapeutic activity designed specifically for this patient.

The team had a blast designing a mock election with some of our amazing team members serving as candidates for the election. Our patient was responsible for ensuring the accuracy (counting of votes) and the authenticity of the process. The whole hospital participated in the event, and it was a rousing success!

This process, along with the care delivered for all of our patients, has resulted in a very positive outcome for this patient. They are on track to join the other 90%+ of our patients who return, stabilized, back to her senior living community where she will continue to thrive and enjoy the full benefit from their community.

Thank you, Team Corterra, for all that you do for our patients and in ensuring that each and every one of our patients get the treatment they so deeply deserve.
