Today we celebrate 102 amazing years of our dear Mrs. Opal 🎉
She is just as beautiful as the day is long inside and out with a personality that lights up every room and a smile that warms every heart. It is truly a blessing to be in her presence.
We were so grateful to see so much family and so many longtime friends come together to honor her and share in this special day. The love in the room said it all.

Christmas Movie Marathon & Pajama Day Fun! ☕
Our residents had the best time yesterday enjoying a cozy Christmas movie marathon and pajama day! We spent the entire day watching favorite holiday movies, sipping on delicious hot chocolate, and rocking our comfiest PJs. What a perfect way to wrap up the year at Sedgwick Plaza 💙 We were thrilled to host our Associate Appreciation Party, celebrating the incredible people who make our community shine every day. From tasty snacks and refreshing drinks to laughter and connection, the afternoon was all about saying thank you. One of the highlights was creating 2026 Bingo Cards, where our associates aimed big, writing down their dreams, goals, and hopes for the year ahead. We are truly inspired by their ambition, and we’re committed to supporting them every step of the way as they work toward as many BINGOs as possible in 2026 🎯

🎄✨ Our Resident Christmas Party was truly a night to remember! The room was filled with laughter, smiles, and festive cheer as everyone came together to celebrate the season. It was wonderful to see our residents having such a great time and enjoying every moment of the evening.
A very special thank you to our incredible music entertainment, The Sweet Adeline’s. Their beautiful voices added so much magic to the night and made the celebration even more special. We are so grateful for the joy they brought to everyone. 🎶❤️

Today, we honor the loving legacy of our late, beloved resident, Donis. 💙 Donis had a heart for giving and a special desire to donate her handmade crochet hats to the children at the Wichita Children’s Home.
In her remembrance, we are proud to fulfill her wish by donating these beautiful winter hats, along with gift bags, to bring warmth, comfort, and smiles to the children this season. Each hat was made with care, kindness, and the love Donis so freely shared with everyone around her.
We are incredibly proud of Donis and grateful to carry on her spirit of generosity. Her compassion will continue to touch lives and keep little hearts warm. 🧶❄️

Friday, Sedgwick Plaza hosted a Winter Wonderland Social — and while it was beautiful and festive, the true magic was in the connections made.

When professionals in senior living, home health, hospice, and community services come together, it strengthens the circle of care around our residents. Networking in senior living isn’t about business cards — it’s about:
✨ Building trusted relationships
✨ Improving communication between care partners
✨ Creating smoother transitions and better support for residents and families
✨ Ensuring our seniors are surrounded by familiar, collaborative faces

Our guests enjoyed cozy winter beverages, seasonal snacks and meaningful conversations centered on supporting seniors in our community.

We also loved seeing the joy from the ornament exchange and the generosity shown through donated coats — proof that community truly comes from the heart.
