Spring is here and the birds are finally coming back! 🐦

To celebrate, we spent some time creating the cutest little bird feeders and hanging them all around the community. It’s amazing to see how a simple art project can bring so much joy, not just to us, but to the birds too!

There’s something really special about creating artwork together. The laughter, the creativity, and the feeling of making something meaningful for our environment makes it such a fun experience for everyone involved.

Yesterday was truly empowering as we gathered to celebrate International Women’s Day and hear from incredible trailblazers right here in Wichita.

Thank you to the amazing women who shared their powerful life stories and reminded us what strength, resilience, and determination look like. From cycling across Kansas to taking the leap and becoming their own boss, each story was unique, inspiring, and a reminder that perseverance can carry us through even the most difficult seasons.

A special thank you to our very own Chris, a remarkable woman in our community, who shared her beautiful and heartfelt journey with us. Your story touched so many and made the day even more meaningful.

Thursday night was something special.

Our amazing residents and a couple of Girls on the Run Heart of Kansas coaches came together at Sedgwick Plaza to raise money for an organization that is changing young girls’ lives—and what a beautiful evening it was.

There was plenty of laughter (especially as we compared our painting abilities), lots of creativity, and even more meaningful conversation. Watching generations connect over paint brushes and shared stories was a reminder of how powerful community truly is.

It was so special to sit and talk with our seniors—hearing their wisdom, their humor, and their life experiences—while our GOTR coaches shared their passion for empowering young girls to be strong, confident, and courageous. Different generations, same heart for making a difference.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support this incredible cause. When community, purpose, and a little paint come together, beautiful things happen.

On Thursday, we had the absolute honor of co-hosting a Young at Heart Mixer with Senior Services, Inc. of Wichita, and it was nothing short of amazing! From start to finish, the dance was filled with laughter, connection, and unforgettable moments.

We truly had everything you could think of — including a fun-filled singles dating show, where Bachelorette #3 walked away with a dinner date generously provided by Delano’s Diner. The energy kept going with an exciting dance-off, and the winner took home a fantastic basket donated by Angels Care Home Health!

A heartfelt thank you to all of our community partners — we truly could not have done this event without you. This evening was a beautiful example of what collaboration looks like and how powerful it can be when we come together to give back to our seniors.
