And they’re definitely not just bad luck.

👉 Up to 70% happen without contact
👉 Female athletes are significantly more at risk
👉 Most occur during cutting, landing, or deceleration

This is a movement problem under speed and load.

The biggest risk factors we see:
❌ Poor deceleration control
❌ Knee valgus (collapse inward)
❌ Quad-dominant movement patterns
❌ Lack of hip contribution

“It’s all about cracking backs” - it’s about restoring movement, reducing pain, & improving performance.

“You have to go forever once you start” - the goal is independence, not dependency.

“It only helps with back & neck pain” - nope. Any joint within the body - shoulder, knee, ankle, even a finger - as well as migraines & athletic performance.

“Adjustments fix everything” - adjustments are a tool - strength, stability, & movement matter more long-term.

“Rest is the best way to heal injuries” - the right kind of movement is actually what drives recovery.

“Imaging (xray, MRI, CT) will tell me exactly what’s wrong” - these findings don’t often match the symptoms. A good assessment is what will give you answers.

“If I just stretch more I’ll be fine” - most people need strength & stability, not just flexibility.

“Athletes should just push through the pain” - ignoring pain is how small issues become big injuries.

1 in 4 athletes dealing with arm pain isn’t “part of the game”… it’s a red flag.

Most throwing programs focus on the arm.
But the arm is usually the victim, not the problem.

If the body can’t create or transfer force efficiently → stress goes straight to the elbow.

That’s how small issues turn into big injuries.

Arm care should look like:
✔️ Shoulder strength
✔️ Core control
✔️ Hip power
✔️ Smart workload

Not just bands before practice.
