🎄 Made gingerbread houses;
🎅 Ate good food; and
🎁 Danced until we were tired!

Thank you to all of the volunteers who painted festive holiday nails, helped us make crafts, gave out the props at the photo booth, played "reindeer" in our games, served meals and snacks, led carol-oke, gave gifts and so much more!

Last week individuals in the Gateway Program had the opportunity to volunteer for The Salvation Army South Central Kansas's Christmas distribution! We helped organize toys for the children, find the labeled bags for recipients and hand them over as they arrived. It was truly gratifying to make Christmas wishes come true! 🎁

A personal visit is a powerful thing! 🥰 There's just no substitute for actually spending time together. Here are two good examples - a big group from the Passport Program recently visited a friend who has been absent due to illness to lift her spirits, and another individual visited a group home to meet her future new housemates, and it went very well. 😀

The City of Wichita- Government's Winter Wonderland in Naftzger Park helped us kick off the season in style! 🎁 The party featured live music performances, a tree lighting ceremony, s’mores, hot cocoa and photo ops, all led with good cheer by emcee Chief Meteorologist Lisa Teachman from KSN.
