Jeran Trotter is a former Division I athlete, entrepreneur, and community leader whose life has come full circle. Raised by a father who quietly served as a trusted counselor in his neighborhood, Jeran learned early that leadership is about showing up for people who need you. After building multiple successful businesses, he felt called to give back—to help young people rediscover purpose, accountability, and confidence through mentorship and structure. His newest initiative, Next Level, combines sports, leadership, and life coaching to help kids develop character, discipline, and direction both on and off the field.

This weekend was a reminder that it’s bigger than basketball. It’s life skills, leadership, and real bonds being built. Watching our teams go court to court, competing and cheering each other on, meant everything. It’s a beautiful feeling seeing the progress from all the time and energy poured into these kids. The game is a game of inches—1% better each day. Congrats to all the teams that competed, and shoutout to 2nd Grade Lewis for bringing home the championship 🏆.
