Today the Purple Line Project was featured on KMUW The Range!
This project is about families walking into businesses and wondering, Will this be safe? Will this be understood? Will my loved one be treated with dignity here?

Purple Line exists to answer that question with a confident yes.

Hearing community radio tell this story reminds me that dementia friendly work is not a niche idea. It is community infrastructure. It is humanity woven into how we do business.

To the businesses who have stepped forward to be trained ,thank you for leading.
To the families who continue to advocate we see you.
To the partners helping build this,we’re just getting started!!

If you haven’t listened yet, I hope you will.
And if you’re a business wondering how to be part of this movement, let’s talk.

Community based care doesn’t live in one building.
It lives everywhere we decide it can.

Making Wichita easier to navigate for people with dementia. Also, can learning improv help with anxiety?

Jazz hands all the way for the incredible crew at Music Theatre of Wichita!

They are officially Purple Line trained ,and what a joy it was to spend time with such a creative, thoughtful team.

MTW already has some truly meaningful accessibility tools in place:
ASL-interpreted performances
Sensory-friendly shows
Audio support devices
Accessible seating options

It’s always energizing to collaborate with artists who are not only brimming with ideas, but who are already doing the work to make beautiful experiences available to more people in our community.

Wichita is better because of you, MTW

Today, Purple Line Project had the honor of training the incredible team at the Wichita Symphony Orchestra.

The conversation was lively, the questions were thoughtful, and the ideas shared around accessibility for people living with dementia and those aging in our community were genuinely inspiring. It’s powerful to be in a room with an organization that is actively asking, How can we do this better? How can more people belong here?

If you follow ComfortCare Homes, you know how deeply we believe in the power of music to connect, regulate, and awaken something essential in all of us. Seeing arts organizations across Wichita lean into accessibility in such intentional ways gives me real hope.

If you haven’t yet, check out the Symphony’s concerts, their community centered initiatives, and the meaningful ways they’re helping make Wichita a more inclusive and vibrant place for everyone!

We would love to work with local animal shelters as Purple Line locations! We know the power of animals for those living with Dementia firsthand in many of our home.

When your chief of security is a cat, it’s safe to say your company has a thing for animals.

Happy National Cat Day! At ComfortCare Homes, Inc we are committed to having cats and dogs in all of our homes- go check out our brood of cats on Facebook- Including Dennis our chief of security who lives at the home office. It now also appears there is some science that shows they can also offer some clues about Alzheimer's. Hoping to see Purple Line Project training soon at local pet recues.

Immune cells in aging cat brains with amyloid beta destroy nerve endings, mimicking the progression of Alzheimer’s disease in humans.

In September of this year Purple Line trained with Level: Wellness • Mind and EMPAC both places provide therapy services. September 25th is in fact National Psychotherapy Day and a month later we wanted to highlight both places.
Level Wellness Mind provides service in multiple locations throughout the state and offers therapy to people managing all kinds of life stress. Caregiving is one of those stresses. 1 in 5 families in Kansas is providing some kind of care to a loved one with Dementia.
EMPAC is an employee assistance program and offers therapy services to those in the work force and their loved ones.
There is no shame ever in admitting you need help in being a care giver. Both of these places are able to help!
