Members of the Wichita Branch of the NAACP participated in the National Wreaths Across America day at Maple Grove Cemetery in Wichita. It was our first time participating an I am glad we did. Although it was bitter cold, it was great to participate in an event honoring our veterans, active duty members, families, as well as providing education to youth and adults alike. Next year we will have more members from our branch.

Today, the Wichita Branch of the NAACP participated in the Veterans Day Parade. Our youth came out in numbers, and we were honored to have our very own Julius Williams along for the ride. He is our oldest living veteran. Thank you to all of those who came out to support.
