What is Tech Neck?
Tech neck refers to the strain and discomfort caused by spending too much time with your head bent forward and shoulders rounded while using devices. Over time, this posture can lead to:
Neck and shoulder pain
Headaches
Reduced mobility
Poor posture habits
Simple Posture Tips for Everyday Life
The good news is there are simple ways to improve your posture and reduce the risk of tech neck:
-Bring devices up to eye level – Instead of bending your head down, raise your phone or adjust your computer monitor so it’s at eye height.
-Take breaks often – Every 20–30 minutes, stand up, stretch, and reset your posture.
-Strengthen core and back muscles – Strong muscles support proper alignment and reduce strain on the neck.
-Practice chin tucks – Gently pull your chin back (like making a double chin) to align your head over your shoulders.
-Check your workspace ergonomics – Make sure your chair, desk, and monitor encourage upright posture.
