Mary Hogancamp Morgan Martinie was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior on December 27, 2025. She passed away peacefully at Oakview Nursing Facility after a valiant battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Mary was born on October 5, 1933, in Bardwell, Kentucky, as the youngest child of William and Myrtie Hogancamp. As the baby of the family, she was cherished by her older brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews and brought joy to all who knew her. She grew up in the church singing alto in the choir with her sisters, Bonnie and Betty. She married her high school sweetheart, Charles E. Morgan, on December 29, 1951, and was blessed with three children, Cynthia Jane, Roger Lynn, and Lisa Gaye. Later in life, she married her devoted companion, Bill Martinie.

Mary embodied the teachings of Christ, clothed in strength and dignity, hardworking and generous, devoted to her family and the Lord even in the most trying of times. She never met a stranger and would shower gifts of homemade food and crocheted blankets just when you needed it the most. She volunteered with the Red Cross, retired from Kentucky Health and Human Services, and was an active member of Mississippi Baptist Church for over 80 years. She was appointed a Kentucky Colonel, the governor’s highest honor, in recognition of her charitable aid to those in need.

To those who knew her best, our “Mama, “Nonny,” and “Aunt Mary” was the bedrock of our family--the one who provided for us, comforted us, guided us, and wrapped us in love. We cherish memories of her warm kitchen, biscuits and gravy, hugs, and soft voice singing lullabies. She lived every moment to its fullest and was generous with her time and affection. She had a wonderful sense of humor and delighted in playing mischievous pranks and having a great belly laugh. Words cannot express the void left in our hearts, but we are comforted by God’s promise of everlasting life and the joyful Heavenly reunion.

Mary is survived by her treasured daughter, Cindy, and grandchildren: Drs. Shannan (Aleco) Tujios, Charles Zachary (Karee) Morgan and Kayley Babb; five great-grandchildren, Alexander, Eli and Katherine Tujios and Axel and Ana Morgan; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026, 12:00 pm, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with Bro. Mark Burnett officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery and will be followed by a fellowship with family and friends to remember and celebrate Mary Sue’s beautiful life at Mississippi Baptist Church.

Dale Eugene Tatum peacefully crossed over to God’s green pastures at his home in Wickliffe on December 27, 2025.

Born to Treever and Bessie Lowry Tatum in Wyatt, Missouri, on April 27, 1949, Dale grew up with his many siblings before marrying the love of his life, Cherie Holmes in 1967. They moved to Anniston for many years before moving to their home and family farm in Wickliffe. He was known as “Rooster” to many.

Dale was an entrepreneur, owning many businesses throughout his life. He owned a successful construction business for over 40 years, Dale Tatum Grain Elevator Repair, contracting with Bunge. In 2006, Dale retired to the farm, and his sons continued the construction business for another 10 years with Bunge. He traveled for most of his career all over the Midwest with his crew. He worked side by side with his two sons for many years. Dale worked hard at everything he did, and never half-butt did anything. His unrelenting drive and dedication rubbed off on his entire family. Some of his greatest joys were in farming. He owned cattle, horses, pigs, and all kinds of other animals. He was very knowledgeable in gardening and horticulture.

He enjoyed making people laugh, telling jokes, and eating fresh seafood. If he wasn’t working in his long-sleeved Wrangler shirt (that he wore year-round) and work boots, you’d see him in his pearl snaps and snakeskin boots. He most likely had a Pepsi in hand and a list in his front shirt pocket on his way to get parts or supplies.

Dale is survived by his wife of 58 years, Cherie Tatum; two sons, Dale Jr. (Missy) Tatum of Bertrand, Missouri, and Shaun (Rebekah) Tatum of Wickliffe; and three grandchildren, Jake (Dessie) Tatum of East Prairie, Missouri, Maddie (Clayton) Reynolds of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Lindsay (Dustin) Bowles of Wickliffe.

He was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Caleb Aaron Tatum; a brother, Ronnie Tatum; and his parents.

A memorial service will be held on the family farm at a later date.

Brenda Dianne Turnbow Wade, of Bardwell, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Baptist Health Paducah. She was born in Clinton, Kentucky, on April 23, 1952, to William and Bonnie Porter Turnbow.

She lived her life with a quiet strength and a generous heart, always finding purpose in helping others. As a nurse, she cared deeply for the people who depended on her, offering comfort, compassion, and steady hands when they were needed most.

She loved the simple joys that made each day brighter-old western movies that took her back in time, shelves lined with holiday bears and beautiful pieces of slag glass, and the company of any animal lucky enough to cross her path. Her love of reading was unmatched; she could finish a book a day without hesitation, losing herself in stories as easily as others breathe. And when she picked up a crossword puzzle, she completed it with an ink pen, confident and clever to the very last square.

Above all, she cherished her family. Being a mom and a MawMaw or MoMo was the role that filled her heart the fullest. Her love was steady, unconditional, and ever-present, a gift she gave freely and without limit.

She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, curiosity, and devotion-one that will continue to live on in the people who loved her most.

Brenda is survived by two daughters, Amy Kellermeyer of Paducah, Sara Moore (James) of Union City, Tennessee; one son, Wade Courtney (Jessica) of Bardwell; three brothers, Russell Turnbow (Rhonda) of Cunningham, Bruce Turnbow (Renee) of Benton, Scott Turnbow (Amber) of Lone Oak; 7 grandchildren, Josh Moore, Brandon Kellermeyer, Tristan Kellermeyer (Nichole), Jack Moore, Kari Courtney, Zack Courtney, Lily Courtney; and 6 great-grandchildren, Roman Moore, Jayce Moore, Paisleigh Kellermeyer, Kora Kellermeyer, Christian Cousins and Everlee Cousins.

Per Brenda’s wishes, no services are scheduled at this time.

Pamela Kay Rogers Whittemore passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025. Pam was born in Mullins, South Carolina, on October 12, 1951. Her unwavering kindness, warmth, Grace, and deep devotion to caring for others are the traits for which she will be remembered.

Pam attended Ohio County High School before continuing her education at Murray State University, where she earned both her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and her Master of Arts in Elementary Education. It was also at Murray State where she met her beloved husband, Thomas M. Whittemore. On May 3, 1975, Pam and Tommy married, beginning a life together that would span more than fifty years-years defined by deep love, steadfast faith, shared purpose, laughter, and an unbreakable bond. Their marriage was rooted in the promise to care for one another in sickness and in health, a promise they honored daily with unwavering devotion. Through every season of life, Pam and Tommy were constant companions, each other’s greatest comfort and truest home, remaining faithfully side by side until Pam was peacefully called home.

Pam had many dear friends, loved children, and above all else, lived by the principle of service above self. Though she never had biological children of her own, she was a mother in countless ways-cherishing her many nieces and nephews, guiding her sisters, and being a loving, motherly presence to the two boys blessed to grow up next door. Her love was never limited by blood; if you were in her life, you belonged.

Pam dedicated decades of service to First Christian Church Preschool, where she touched generations of children and families with her wisdom, patience, and remarkable ability to see the best in every child. As FCC Preschool Director, her leadership shaped the program into a nurturing environment where children thrived. The countless lives she helped mold remain forever grateful for her guidance and love.

Beyond the preschool, Pam was deeply committed to her church community. She served faithfully as both a deacon and elder at First Christian Church, and one of her proudest achievements was co-founding the Super Senior Program, a ministry that enriched the lives of older members and reflected her lifelong devotion to service. Her faith and leadership were cornerstones of her life.

She also devoted many years to the American Cancer Society, offering compassion and comfort to others in the community, long before she later faced-and overcame-cancer herself.

Pam loved dogs and rescued many throughout her lifetime, giving each one a loving home-often to Tommy’s tongue-in-cheek chagrin, which never stood a chance against Pam’s heart, as he ultimately loved every dog just as deeply. She was also a gifted cook and a gracious host, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unforgettable meals. For more than forty years, the home Pam and Tommy shared was the heart of Christmas celebrations and her famous Christmas dinner. It was only fitting that on Christmas, Pam was surrounded by those she loved most-the very people with whom she had shared more than forty Christmas nights, a circle of family and friends reflecting the enduring love, warmth, and traditions she and Tommy created together.

Pam was the daughter of Lonnie R. Rogers Jr. and Carolyn Croom Rogers. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her dear friend Kris Straub, whose memory she cherished deeply.

She is survived by her loving husband of more than fifty years, Thomas M. Whittemore of Paducah; her sisters, Jan Haley of Centerville, Tennessee, and Kim Enix (Barry) of Benton, Kentucky; her nieces and nephews, Jarin Haley of Centerville, Tennessee, Will Haley of Benton, Jadrian Charette of Brewers, Kentucky, and Cory Enix of Nashville; and her great-niece, Jaley Charette. She also leaves behind many dear friends who were family in every sense of the word, including her “sons,” Eric Straub (Emma) and Jason Straub (Emma), and their father, Rick Straub (Cathy).

Pam will be remembered for the way she made people feel: loved, welcomed, and deeply cared for. Her life was a testament to faith, service, and love-and at the heart of it all was a marriage marked by devotion, tenderness, and more than fifty years of shared life. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched.

A memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 2174, or the First Christian Church of Paducah Preschool, 415 Audubon Drive, Paducah, KY 42001.
