John Diggs MD is pleased to be entering 2022 serving the members of the practice with personalized medical care in a timely fashion. The growth has been steady as the region becomes more accustomed to the "direct primary care" (DPC) model.

The decision to treat patients with COVID 19 before hospitalization is required has garnered attention across New England. Treatment algorithms are utilized by physicians around the world, confronting the "therapeutic nihilism" which seems to have captured much of the medical establishment.

Many patients who come to my office complain that their usual doctors refuse to evaluate them if COVID19 is suspected. Is it not the doctor's job to make an assessment? Since when do we doctors assume that the patient is correct? For example, complaints of cough, fever, and a positive COVID19 test could still be a bacterial pneumonia and not COVID19 at all. They report that doctors refuse to see them.

Imagine seeing your doctor and getting your medication at the same location.

I was interviewed on the Jim Polito radio show this morning to support legislation co-sponsored by state representatives Boldyga (R of Agawam) and Oliveira (D of Belchertown) -- H2235. Jim saw this legislation as a "no-brainer" in its obvious benefit to patients. The bill removes the current restrictions of doctors dispensing medications.
