As Salaamu Alaikum & Jumuah Mubarak. Yesterday as I was leaving a janazah of a dear sister and pioneer in New Jersey, I received word that another dear sister, Anika Al-Uqdah, returned to Allah. I know and believe that Allah will never break his promise to us. "Every soul will taste death. And you will only receive your full reward on the Day of Judgment". (Surah Ali' Imran 3:185) I can admit that this is hard to grasp...and I also know that Allah is the best of planners.
I can say that I (We) were blessed to know her, love her, be in her presence, share in conversations, and watch her be her authentic self...her laughter, love for her family and community and how she valued her friendships are incomparable.
Please offer du'a for her, her family and all those who knew and loved her.
May Allah have mercy upon her. Ameen. May he accept and multiply all of her good deeds and actions. Ameen
May he reward her with the jannatul firdous. Ameen.
