Yoga Flow with Lisa Mo

Yoga Flow with Lisa Mo Freelance E-RYT® 200, RYT® 500, YACEP®, Usui Reiki Master, Meditation Instructor I am also a certified Usui Reiki practitioner.

My name is Lisa Molendini and I earned my first 200-hour Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher certification in 2021, focused on power vinyasa yoga. In February of 2023, I completed another 200-hour, broader-based yoga teacher training through the InfinitYoga Training program through NearMe Yoga and Mrida Seva Yoga. I was a cm laude graduate of Susquehanna University with a degree in communications (public relations emphasis), and minors in advertising and American history. In addition to my teacher training certifications, I have completed continuing education hours in restorative yoga teacher training, teaching to those at the very beginning of their yoga journey, teaching yoga in challenging times, and more. I strive to expand my knowledge to the many various styles and techniques within the yoga world. I currently teach in-person at the Tree of Life Shoppe in Ringtown, Pennsylvania and River Run Center for the Healing Arts in Weatherly, Pennsylvania, in addition to many special events, workshops, and Zoom classes. I also get to share weekly yoga sessions with the amazing folks doing the hard work at a local addiction recovery center, and offer a “Yoga for All Abilities” class that combines mindfulness, relaxation techniques, and yoga-inspired movement and dance for neurodiverse teens and adults. Additionally, I present "Yoga in the Gallery" each month at the Hazleton Art League's Hayden Family Center for the Arts. I am proud to share that I have offered classes at the annual Northeastern Pennsylvania Yoga Festival at Montage Mountain, the Summit Hill Hootenanny and Inclusion Festival in Pennsylvania, OhmFest Yoga Art and Music Festival in Dover, Delaware, and Ramblefest in Darlington, MD. Many more festivals are on the agenda for 2023. The energy of festivals, along with the amazing people that this convergence of live music and art brings together, make my heart so happy. I’d love to hear about your favorite music festival! As someone who lives with anxiety challenges every day, I truly do not know what I would do without this practice. It is my sincere hope that I can share the benefits and gifts of this practice with others who may also be feeling overwhelmed by life’s challenges. In addition to yoga, I love nature and being outdoors, all types of crafting, fussing over my pets, the Sunday crossword, traveling, and making everything into an adventure and/or history lesson. Please note: essential oil blends or sprays may be used during this experience. Please inform the instructor of any allergies or sensitivities to scents/fragrances/essential oils prior to the start of class.

Restorative yoga is a completely different experience than most other styles of yoga. Together we will be guided through a series of grounded postures where the body is completely supported by props (bolsters, blocks, etc.) that are held for a longer duration, allowing the body to open through passive stretching.
While these poses are held, Lisa will circulate throughout the room to share Reiki energy with each participant. Reiki is a Japanese method of working with the universal life-force energy within us all. It can help promote relaxation while reducing stress and anxiety by guiding energy throughout the body to promote the recipient's self-healing abilities.
When the body enters a state of relaxation the mind can also consciously relax as tension is released from both body and mind.

Join us on Tuesday afternoons for Chair Yoga at the AmeriHealth Caritas Wellness & Opportunity Center, 20 West Broad St, Hazleton, PA, 2 pm. Class is an hour in length, and free to AmeriHealth members, $7 (cash only) for non-members. Attendees may use the gated lot behind the building--free parking tokens will be distributed after class.

Find your center and get grounded in body and mind with this gentle class. In chair yoga, we practice our poses while seated and standing using a chair for support. We will also incorporate movements inspired by the ancient practice of qigong, with cross-body and side-to-side motions to aid in balance and fall prevention, while enjoying some of our favorite songs from yesterday and today. Designed to mindfully increase range of motion while meeting students where they are, it is truly everyBODY's yoga! Benefits of chair yoga include increased strength and mobility, stress reduction, and socialization.
