Interest survey- Considering opening up a Saturday morning interactive read aloud/sensory experience on a semi-regular basis (2-3 times a month), hosted by my clinic. This would be targeting early childhood ages (6 and under), and would include parent/caregiver coaching on how to set up/utilize sensory activities to encourage speech and language development. Open to local community members, as well as those on my current caseload, with a flat fee per session ($50 or less). We are beyond excited about the positive feedback and interest we have gotten about these special programs so far! While we have put additional details on the applications linked on our page, we thought it may be helpful to put some of the information in a quick, easy to read post, to help answer some of the top questions we are receiving in inquiries. Applications are coming in and spots are beginning to fill up, so we encourage those interested to go ahead and get an application submitted and we can be flexible and discuss payment plan options, for those needing to do so for the registration fee. Once applications are submitted, we will contact individually to discuss next steps, so if you haven't heard back from us by Friday of this week, and have submitted an application, send us a quick message, or call, 336-927-2053, so we can make sure your application was received. Below are some additional details for each program :)

This program will run for two hours, two days per week, beginning the week of July 8th and ending the week of July 29th, for a total of 8, 2-hour sessions. Sensory Staycation is designed for children ages 5-11, of all ability levels, and will be led by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and a Licensed Special Education Elementary Teacher. Our experienced professionals work collaboratively to design and program opportunities for each participant to build and practice essential, communication, executive function, sensory, and social skills, through engaging, hands-on sensory, play-based activities and small group lessons. To ensure our professionals are able to provide each child with personalized attention and meaningful interactions, we keep our summer enrichment program groups small. Cost of this program is $400

This program will run for one hour, one day per week, beginning the week of July 8th and ending the week of July 29th, for a total of 4 total sessions. Sensory Safari is designed for children ages 2-4, of all ability levels, and will be led by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and a Licensed Special Education Elementary Teacher. Our experienced professionals work collaboratively to provide children with the opportunity to experience engaging, hands-on, play-based sensory activities, focusing on strengthening and practicing communication and social-emotional skills,. To ensure our professionals are able to provide each child with personalized attention and meaningful interactions, we keep our summer enrichment program groups small. Cost of this program is $225

Playfully Speaking is SO excited to be collaborating with an ALLSTAR team of professionals, this summer, and to be adding new "Summer Enrichment" programs to our list of professional services! If you live in Wilkes or surrounding communities, and have a child(ren) ages 2-11, you will want to check these programs out!

We are passionate about embracing neurodiversity, and helping children, and their families to find systems of support and effective strategies that meet individualized developmental skill needs. Through engaging, sensory exploration programs, we are thrilled to be able to offer services that will cover critical developmental skills, from communication and social skill building, to emotional regulation and coping skill strategies, we have you covered!

If you, or someone you know is interested in finding out more about the programs we are offering for Summer 2024, contact me at any of the available options posted below.
Limited spots are available, as we want to keep quality over quantity by keeping adult to child ratios small, so please complete one of the linked applications, as soon as possible. The registration process won't be finalized until after payments have been made in full, but we do hope to open up some financial assistance opportunities, through local community donations. These will be limited, and based on donations collected, and level of financial need.
We would love to help support those who may require financial assistance to be able to participate in one of our programs. If you are interested in making a generous donation, or would like additional information prior to doing so, I would love to share more information about how donations will be used to directly support a child's registration. Hi everyone,
My name is Ginna Staley and I am an AHSA certified speech-language pathologist, native of Wilkes County and have been working for over a decade, primarily working as a school-based therapist. I have recently opened a private practice pediatric speech therapy clinic, in the heart of the town I love to call "home." I am passionate about providing individualized assessments, interventions and services, with a family-focused, child-centered approach, with special interests in the areas of early language, school-age speech and language, and literacy.

I am also offering in-home services, along with other possible service delivery locations for those interested in a private pay option.
