The Christine Center

The Christine Center The Christine Center is a spirituality center offering solo and group retreats in a wooded sanctuary. The Christine Center was established in the lineage of St.
(1)

Francis and St. Clare of Assisi, and embraces persons of all spiritual paths. Organizations, individuals, groups, teachers, and students are invited to share the energy of this sacred space. The Center offers lodging and meals for individual retreats, group retreats, seminars and sabbatical stays. You’re also welcome to have your day meeting or overnight gathering of your small faith community, hospital, church, educational or management group at the Center. Situated in a tranquil forest setting with guest house, hermitages (small cabins), and camping on 125 secluded acres, the Christine Center has served the spiritual needs of thousands of people from all over the world for almost thirty years. You’re invited to partake of its silence and beauty, and to participate in its opportunities for personal spiritual deepening and global transformation. Spiritual seekers are drawn to The Christine Center by the activities of a vibrant community, prayer, contemplation and work. The Center offers retreats on spirituality, transformational change and inner development. It hosts a diverse and wide range of workshops and retreat programs. As a Catholic retreat center, it welcomes opportunities to engage in dialogue with teachers and seekers of many spiritual paths. The Center also offers services such as spiritual guidance, bodywork, and recreational activities which can supplement your reflection and relaxation. A supportive, natural environment provides you with the ambience for a contemplative practice, creativity, or nurturing the Spirit within. Many come to explore inner awakening, holistic living and honesty in relationships. Out of this energy the Christine Center offers its signature program “Spiritual Deepening for Global Transformation.”

Some truths do not come to us in straightforward language. They arrive as image, symbol, feeling, or fragment – asking not to be solved too quickly, but to be held with curiosity and care.

Dreams can open that kind of space within us, widening our sense of soul and deepening our attention to what is stirring beneath the surface of daily life. What might become possible if you listened to your dreams as companions on the spiritual path?

Below, we share a unique opportunity to join alongside the SDGT cohort for a special online day retreat honoring Sister Gabe's legacy.

One of those retreat moments that stays with you – drumming around the fire, sparks rising into the night, and a rhythmic heartbeat you could hear and feel across the whole forest campus.

The facilitators and retreatants of Riding the Drum sure brought the magic.

It was an exuberant group this last Sunday who sat to "awaken" their new drums. These nine folks and group facilitator Brita Revke had an amazing weekend of drumming, celebration and Shamanic experience which included cutting out pieces of deer hide and attaching them to the wooden frames of their drum, after they stained the skin using walnut husks. Wow! Watch for the return of this retreat in March of 2027.
