The Christine Center

The Christine Center The Christine Center is a spirituality center offering solo and group retreats in a wooded sanctuary. The Christine Center was established in the lineage of St.
(1)

Francis and St. Clare of Assisi, and embraces persons of all spiritual paths. Organizations, individuals, groups, teachers, and students are invited to share the energy of this sacred space. The Center offers lodging and meals for individual retreats, group retreats, seminars and sabbatical stays. You’re also welcome to have your day meeting or overnight gathering of your small faith community, ho

spital, church, educational or management group at the Center. Situated in a tranquil forest setting with guest house, hermitages (small cabins), and camping on 125 secluded acres, the Christine Center has served the spiritual needs of thousands of people from all over the world for almost thirty years. You’re invited to partake of its silence and beauty, and to participate in its opportunities for personal spiritual deepening and global transformation. Spiritual seekers are drawn to The Christine Center by the activities of a vibrant community, prayer, contemplation and work. The Center offers retreats on spirituality, transformational change and inner development. It hosts a diverse and wide range of workshops and retreat programs. As a Catholic retreat center, it welcomes opportunities to engage in dialogue with teachers and seekers of many spiritual paths. The Center also offers services such as spiritual guidance, bodywork, and recreational activities which can supplement your reflection and relaxation. A supportive, natural environment provides you with the ambience for a contemplative practice, creativity, or nurturing the Spirit within. Many come to explore inner awakening, holistic living and honesty in relationships. Out of this energy the Christine Center offers its signature program “Spiritual Deepening for Global Transformation.”

We’re grateful to be part of Clark County’s annual Spring Into the Arts Art Walk. These photos feature the artists found at the St. Hildegard Soul-Studio for Creative Arts & Ritual.

You’ll find pottery, mandalas, self-love zines, greeting cards, expressive paintings, along with an interactive station where you can write and decorate a love note to yourself that will be mailed to you later.

We invite visitors to add to our annual mural, so make sure to stop by! One of these photos captures the mural’s first brushstrokes.🎨🩵

Sunlight in the Soul
The Alchemy of Curiosity and Joy

On Earth Day, we honor our interdependence with all of life and recognize the beauty, abundance, and fragility of this living planet. From many traditions and perspectives, we can meet here: in wonder for the Earth, in care for one another, and in responsibility for the home we share.🌎

A simple practice for today:

•Step outside for a few quiet moments.

•Bring your hand to your heart or to the earth.

•Notice one tree, one patch of sky, one bud, or one stone.

•Let yourself fully receive what is here.

•Notice before naming. Receive before responding.

Then carry that spirit of attention into one choice today that reflects care for the Earth.💙

Andrea visits the Center three times each year, offering seasonally aligned Yoga and Ayurveda retreats. Some guests return for every retreat and have become familiar faces in our community. Others are joining for the first time. Again and again, people speak of the depth of Andrea’s teaching, the strength of the practice, and the caring container she creates.

Early spring at our Jesus shrine along the inner trails. To bless is to recognize sacredness and to affirm holiness. Here, Jesus is shown in a gesture of giving blessing, inviting a quiet moment to pause, breathe, and remember your own capacity to give and receive blessing.

•You might begin by taking three grounding breaths and noticing your own goodness and inner radiance.

•Then, mirroring the open-handed posture of the statue, bring to mind someone you would like to bless.

•In your own words, offer a simple prayer such as: May you be happy, healthy, and at ease. May you be free from suffering. May you know Love, and be Love.

•When you are ready, rest for a few moments in sacred stillness.
