Strabismus occurs when both eyes look in different directions simultaneously. The misalignment of the eyes in a strabismic patient means that the eyes may be unable to work together to provide the brain with accurate binocular visual information. This can result in blurry vision or double vision, overlapping images and difficulty with depth perception.

Therapeutic lenses, prisms, and filters may be used as part of a vision therapy program. Vision therapy includes training and development of the eye-brain connections required for clear and comfortable vision.

We had the wonderful opportunity to share vision therapy with a local Girl Scout troop! Through hands-on activities, the girls discovered how our brains and eyes work together for reading, learning, and everyday life.
