On behalf of everyone at Williamsburg Memorial Park, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all who joined us for our 61st Annual Memorial Day Celebration. Your presence helped us pay tribute to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

We are especially grateful to BSA Troops 103 and 155, the Williamsburg A Ca****la Singers, our distinguished guest speaker T.C. Smith, and the many others who contributed to making the event so meaningful.

Although the Cub Scouts and their families did an awesome job of placing this year’s luminaries, several caught fire immediately after lighting them due to high wind gusts—which continued throughout the evening. Sadly, we had to cancel the Annual Holiday Luminary for safety reasons. Unfortunately, there are no plans to reschedule this event.

The luminaries are still present, so we encourage you to remember your loved ones by visiting this evening. We are so very sorry for the inconvenience. Hopefully, Mother Nature will be more cooperative next year.

If you attended this year's Annual Memorial Day Celebration, you know we ended the program early because of thunderstorms. As a result, we all missed out on one of our favorite performances, Ray Gresham's rendition of God Bless the USA.
