Achieve with us and become a part of making our new home a reality! Our Capital Campaign to purchase The Arc's new home is about more than just a building. It's about a place for expansion and growth, including that of our Vocational Training Program. Pictured below are members of The Arc's day program, Arc of Abilities, completing work projects with longtime supporters and partners Eaton.

This partnership leads to important vocational skills along with confidence and pride in the work completed by Arc clients. The new space offers large rooms to accommodate vocational training, including both skill building and actual work completion. This is just one of the ways this new Arc home will support and empower Arc clients to ACHIEVE.

W&M Fraternity and Sorority Life's Annual Boo Bash was a scary good time. Scroll through to see some of the costumes and fun from an afternoon at The School of Education. We can't thank FSL Staff, student leaders, and members of William and Mary's Greek Life Community enough for all they did to make this event one to remember!

Longtime William & Mary athletics administrator Bobby Dwyer has been chosen as the recipient of the 2025 John H. Randolph Inspiration Award by the CAA. Bobby is also a member of The Arc's Board and has been a faithful and avid supporter over the years. On Saturday, members of The Arc's Board of Directors attended the Football Game where he was presented with the award on the field. They held up beautiful signs made by our Arc of Abilities Day Program!

The award recognizes individuals who through strength of character and human spirit serve as an inspiration to all to maximize their potential and ability for success. It is named after former William & Mary athletic director John Randolph, who lost a courageous battle with cancer in 1995. We are so proud to have Bobby as a member of The Arc family and share this amazing news with you all.

W&M Fraternity and Sorority Life hosted a frightfully good time at Saturday’s Annual Boo Bash! Students from a variety of Greek organizations came out to dance, socialize, play games, and do crafts at The School of Education. We are so grateful for the time and effort put in by all FSL Staff and student leaders to make this dance such a success! The costume contest was such a fun way to see all the spooky, funny, unique, and amazing costumes that Arc clients put together. We’re thankful for another year of fun and community with our friends at William & Mary. More event photos to come soon! 👻🎃

As pumpkins glow and costumes appear, we’re still brewing up something "spook-tacular" - a new building that will give adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community more room to grow, connect, and thrive.

Your support of The Arc's Capital Campaign isn’t just a treat, it’s a transformative gift that will create more space, more growth, and more opportunities for those we serve. As we creep closer to our $2.5 million fundraising goal, we hope you'll consider joining us in this exciting new chapter! "The Transition to Adulthood: High School Experience Night" last week was the first of many opportunities for students and families in the WJCC Schools Special Education program to experience The Arc of Greater Williamsburg's programs in action. The program was Art with Art led by our resident Arc parent and artist, Art Martin, and was a wonderful time in community.

As The Arc's motto is "The Arc is there when the school bus stops coming," early exposure to programming for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities provides confidence for post-grad options. We can't wait to see all that lies ahead for this partnership!

This year's Greensprings 24 by Happy Cat Events took place Saturday, October 25th through Sunday, October 26th. We are continually impressed by the tenacity and generosity of participants and organizers and feel grateful to be the beneficiary of this amazing event.

It is a 24 hour endurance race where athletes from around the WORLD come together to tackle personal goals, test their endurance, and gather in community with other participants. The atmosphere is a special one and you can feel the camaraderie and encouragement all around. More to come on this race but for now please join us in thanking Ellen, Darrin, and Heather for the heart and hard work they each put into putting on this one-of-a-kind local event each year!
