Today highlights the ongoing impact of HIV in Black communities and calls attention to the structural barriers—like stigma, discrimination, poverty, and limited access to culturally respectful care—that contribute to persistent disparities.

Achieving health equity means more than just medications. It means compassionate, collaborative care that meets people where they are. That includes strong partnerships among providers, case managers, pharmacists, and peer specialists to build trust, support people living with HIV, and help them stay connected to the care they deserve.

Today we honor Black communities, call out ongoing inequities, and recommit to care that is accessible, respectful, and supportive for everyone.

During FY 2024–2025, AIDS Resource and AR Health proudly expanded its reach, offering culturally sensitive HIV and LGBTQIA2S+ healthcare, support services, and community outreach across North Central Pennsylvania. We were honored to serve 432 unique patients and provide 188 clients with personalized case management. Our team delivered 23,707 nourishing meals, distributed over 23,300 condoms and 50 home HIV test kits, and facilitated important reproductive health resources. We also introduced new programs such as making menstrual products accessible for everyone and boosting primary care capacity by expanding our clinical staff. We’re grateful for the opportunity to make a positive difference in our community.
