AIDS Resource Our non-profit organization provides HIV prevention, testing, education, and primary care services.

AIDS Resource provides culturally sensitive support to individuals affected by and living with HIV by offering case management, confidential testing, prevention services, and evidence-based education. We opened AR Health, a healthcare clinic that provides high-quality medical care to individuals living with HIV and members of the LGBTQ+ community. We serve Cameron, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Elk, Lycoming, McKean, Snyder, Union, and Potter counties, with offices in Williamsport and State College.

Important Reminder: December 16 is the final day to schedule outsourced testing for HIV and STIs through the Department of Health.

For patients eligible for in-house testing, the last day for testing will be December 19.

The AstraZeneca Foundation is proud to highlight the incredible work happening in rural northcentral Pennsylvania through the efforts of AIDS Resource Alliance, a Creating Health Access for Next Generation Equity (CHANGE) grant awardee!

AIDS Resource Alliance is transforming healthcare access for people living with HIV and members of the LGBTQ+ community by providing consistently excellent, welcoming primary care — meeting people where they are, breaking down barriers to care and ensuring dignity in every interaction.

Thanks to the dedicated efforts of their team, this year:
✨ 100% of eligible patients received mental health screenings.
✨ 100% of patient requests for transportation to appointments were fulfilled.
✨ 72% of uninsured patients obtained insurance coverage.
✨ 119 outreach events were held and 14 new partnerships formed, strengthening community ties and helping more patients discover care.

Our Story

AIDS Resource is a non-profit organization that provides free support services for people living with HIV or AIDS, in addition to providing free HIV and STI testing. Our Williamsport office hosts a free monthly PrEP clinic. Prevention and education programs are free available to the public, as are prevention tools. We serve Cameron, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Elk, Lycoming, McKean, Potter, Snyder and Union counties with offices in Williamsport and State College.

AIDS Resource began in 1988 as Williamsport’s response to the AIDS pandemic. The founders wanted to help those who were diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and help prevent the spread of the disease.
