Albright LIFE is where seniors go to thrive so they can stay in their homes as long as possible. Participants have the opportunity to come during the day for social activities, therapy and nutritional meals to keep their bodies and minds healthy and active. LIFE is comprised of dedicated professionals, caregivers and an on-site physician who provide a high level of all-inclusive onsite expert care

as participants need it. Funding may be provided by Medicare, Medicaid, Long Term Care Insurance or private resources and participants must live in the service area of the LIFE Center, be 55+ and nursing home eligible.

We tried something new today—exercising with scarves!

Sometimes the best kind of exercise doesn’t feel like exercise at all. By turning movement into something fun and engaging, participants stay active without even realizing how much they’re doing.

Our participants at Albright LIFE Lycoming had a sweet time celebrating National Waffle Day! 🧇✨

They enjoyed delicious waffle bowls filled with mixed berries, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream — a perfect treat to brighten the day.

Along with the tasty fun, everyone took part in waffle-themed conversations, sharing fun facts and trivia, and exploring all the different ways to enjoy waffles — from classic breakfast favorites to chicken and waffles and everything in between!

We had the absolute joy of celebrating Elizabeth “Bea” Brown’s 97th birthday here at Albright LIFE! 💛

Born in New Jersey, Bea has lived a full and meaningful life. She was married for 55 years and spent time working in a silk mill and a hospital—just a few highlights from her incredible journey.

It’s an honor for us to support not only her, but her entire family. Through the LIFE program, we’re able to provide the care and respite that helps Bea continue living comfortably at home, surrounded by those who love her most.

And of course—we can’t forget her love for chocolate treats and snacks throughout the day! 🍫😊

Many people assume seniors must move into a nursing home to receive comprehensive care.

With Albright LIFE, eligible seniors can receive neccessary medical care, therapy, and daily support while continuing to live in their own homes and communities.

We had a wonderful time hosting a recent networking event for Senior Networking Alliance of Central PA at our center!

A big thank you to Roy for bringing together an incredible group of community partners, including home health agencies, hospital liaisons, nursing home administrators, and elder law attorneys.

Guests enjoyed connecting with one another, learning more about our program, and taking guided tours of the center to see firsthand how we support participants every day.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such dedicated professionals who share our commitment to helping older adults live safely and comfortably at home. 💙

March is National Nutrition Month, and the celebration continues at Albright LIFE Franklin! 🥗💧

This week, participants explored ways to “rethink your drinking habits.” Through a hands-on demonstration, we looked at bottles of popular beverages filled with the actual amount of sugar they contain, giving everyone a visual reminder of how much sugar can be in each sip.

We also talked about simple ways to make healthier choices every day, including:
> Making each sip count by infusing water with fresh fruit, herbs, or vegetables
>Choosing no-sugar-added beverage options
>Increasing our daily water intake

March is National Nutrition Month!
We kicked off our month-long celebration at the Albright LIFE Center this week with educational displays and discussions centered around this year’s theme: “Discover the Power of Nutrition.”

Participants explored a variety of handouts from the American Dietetic Association and learned how everyday food choices can impact overall health. One of today’s displays compared popular fast-food meals, highlighting the highest-fat options versus healthier, lower-fat choices.

A powerful visual called “Fat in a Cup” showed the actual amount of fat contained in some fast-food meals. Many participants were surprised to see just how much fat can be hidden in these foods!

The conversation also focused on the importance of building a well-balanced diet, including plenty of fruits and vegetables throughout the day to support better health and wellness.

We’re excited to continue sharing tips, activities, and resources all month long as we celebrate the power of good nutrition! 💚
