In honor of National Social Work Month, we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on our very own Social Service Director, Aileen Booth!
Aileen has been a dedicated force in the social services field for seven years, and we have been lucky enough to have her as part of the Rose View family for six of them. For Aileen, this isn't just a career—it’s a lifelong dream. She always knew she wanted a path centered on helping others, and every day she turns that passion into action.
This year’s National Social Work Month theme is Uplift, Defend, or Transform. For Aileen, "Uplift" and "Transform" resonate the most. Whether she is uplifting a resident’s spirits with a laugh or helping transform their stay into a success story—caring for others is at the heart of her mission.
Aileen finds her greatest inspiration in the difference she makes in people’s lives. As a fierce advocate for our residents, staff, and families, she believes that no act of kindness is too small.
Long-term care can be a journey for everyone involved—the residents, their families, and our staff. Aileen says "If I can go home knowing I made a difference or brought a smile to someone’s face, it makes everything worth it."
Fast Facts about Aileen:
The Best Reward: A simple "thank you" from a resident or family member.
Office Essentials: An endless supply of pens and a cold iced coffee.
Favorite Color: Blue! (Fun fact: As a child, she loved the color so much she named her kitten Blue).
Self-Care Routine: Blasting her favorite music on the drive to work and enjoying a quiet moment with—you guessed it—another iced coffee.
Off-the-Clock: You can find Aileen at the beach, lost in a good book, watching a funny movie, or spending quality time with her loved ones.
Favorite Words To Live By: "Be yourself because everyone else is taken." — Oscar Wilde
Thank you, Aileen, for your compassion, your advocacy, and for always making our residents laugh. We are so proud to have you on our team!
Happy National Social Work Month!
