During this "Weekend of Remembrance" we come together to commemorate one of the darkest moments in the history of our beloved city, we celebrate the lives and legacies of those taken from us too soon, we support their loved ones and friends whose hearts have been broken and we focus our energies on changing the dynamics that led to this tragedy.

Our annual spring clean-up of Williamsville Cemetery will begin on March 1, as described in our cemetery Rules and Regulations, which are approved by the NYS Cemetery Board.

If you have a loved one who is interred in Williamsville Cemetery and wish to retrieve from their gravesite any item(s) that have sentimental value to your family, please retrieve them before March 1.

Flowers and other plants which are removed from gravesites by our cemetery staff will be disposed of when removed, but other items will be taken to a designated area in the cemetery), and as a courtesy to our lot owners will be placed there until March 31 for your retrieval if you wish. For Williamsville Cemetery items will be taken to Forest Lawn and placed in an area adjacent to the Forest Lawn service garage, which is located behind our main office, near Main St.

Please note that the items placed at these locations will remain unsecured (as they are now at the gravesite) and you will need to retrieve them no later than March 31. After that date, any unclaimed items will be discarded.

Please note that Williamsville Cemetery will be closed today, Monday, January 17, 2022, for public visitations due to inclement weather. This will allow us to prepare for burial services, which are scheduled for today and will be held as scheduled.

FALL CLEAN-UP BEGINS OCTOBER 1 AT WILLIAMSVILLE CEMETERY.

Our annual fall clean-up of Williamsville Cemetery will begin on October 1, as described in our cemetery Rules and Regulations, which are approved by the NYS Cemetery Board.
