Correra Physical Therapy

Correra Physical Therapy Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation and Core Wellness for Men & Women Thankfully, there is hope.

At CorrEra Physical Therapy we focus on treating pelvic floor dysfunction and promoting core wellness. Men and women of all ages with varying levels of physical fitness can experience pelvic floor dysfunction. Whether it is urinary leaking, an overactive bladder, or pelvic pain, living with pelvic floor dysfunction never lends to a convenience in lifestyle. The pelvic floor does not have to be the forgotten region of the human body that no one wants to discuss. Physical therapy for the pelvic floor offers a conservative and effective approach to treating these personal conditions. Treatment often includes reestablishing the balance of flexibility and strength of the core muscles, and we at CorrEra Physical Therapy believe in emphasizing the importance of this new ERA of CORE wellness.

It’s our 12th anniversary! 🎉 So much has changed since we first opened our doors, but I’m grateful for every opportunity and struggle on this journey. October 20, 2013 marked my first day as a small business owner. I began practicing pelvic floor rehab in 2011 and two years later I opened the first pelvic health focused physical therapy practice in Buffalo… it wasn’t popular here yet, I was a cash-based practice, and most physicians didn’t even realize this kind of therapy offered anything beyond “Kegels”. I spent months in the early years reaching out to connect with physicians and other therapists to share about what pelvic health could offer. One fellow PT who was a successful female private practice owner told me I was wasting my time because pelvic health would never be a viable business. Her comment helped me realize how far we needed to come in this field and I’m so grateful that I had the support and opportunity to bring attention to this specialty in WNY. Clearly, she was incorrect 🙃 There are many therapists learning and growing in this field now!

Thank you to every patient who trusted me and became their own advocate for pelvic health, to Dr. Phipps at who encouraged me and gave me the very first opportunity to open a private practice, the fellow PTs and collaborative health care providers who gave me the time of day, and of course my family. Without my husband there is no way I would have been able to pursue this dream 💕 Twelve years in small business isn’t easy, but I’m so grateful for the journey! Thank you all 🙏
