Melva K. Blanchard, 79, of Central Village joined her late son, Dennis, the morning of Saturday November 15, 2025.

Melva, or Kaye as she was known by many, was born on July 11, 1946 to the late Lee and Emma Cravens, in Decatur, IL. She lived in Central Village, CT where she made her home. She was known for her big heart, caring nature and love of clocks, nutcrackers and her family.

She is survived by her four children, Dawn, Robert, Michael and Bradlee. As well as her ex-husband, Bob, 17 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Kaye will be remembered as a strong, caring and hard-working woman who was the thread that held her family together. The world is a much duller place without her light in it.

A Celebration of Life will be held privately and arranged by the family.

Irene Krysinski, 5/4/1947-11/7/2025

Irene was born in Hagan-Kabel, Germany on a displaced persons camp after WW2. She emigrated to Hartford, CT with her parents when she was three years old. She went to St. Cyril's and Methodius Grammar School, South Catholic High School and to Central CT State College where she got a degree in teaching. She worked at Aetna as a time study consultant and traveled all over the US. She lived in New Jersey for 24 years and then moved back to CT and lived in Jewett City. She then worked at Foxwoods as a dealer and supervisor. Irene was very bright, funny and generous and will be dearly missed by her friends and family.

She is preceded by her father, Jan Krysinski, her mother Zofia Krysinski and her brother John Krysinski. She leaves behind her sister, Lydia Manifold, brother-in-law Bob Manifold, and her three nephews, Robert Manifold, Royce Manifold and Rhett Manifold.

Her funeral will be held at 9:30AM on Saturday, November 15th at St. Philip the Apostle Church 64 Pompey Hollow Rd, Ashford. The burial will take place at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield. To send an online expression of sympathy, please visit www.adamscremationct.com

Ann J. Orlomoski, 61, of Canterbury, the wife of John C. Orlomoski passed away Saturday October 25, 2025 at Hartford Hospital. Ann was born on November 13, 1963 in Doylestown, PA. She was the daughter of William Jackle and Virginia (Fey) Jackle. Ann was a 1981 graduate of Chatham High School on Cape Cod and in 1985, earned a B.A. from the Swain School of Design in New Bedford, MA. A multi-talented artist, Ann worked for numerous design firms prior to beginning a 30 year career at Electric Boat in Groton, CT. After earning the 1992 Steven McGrath Award as the top apprentice in her class, Ann joined the Electronic Visualization Services (EVS) team working on the Virginia Class submarine program. During her time on the EVS team, Ann met John and they were married on July 25, 1998. Working together, Ann and John created numerous 3D animations and high end graphics that were presented at the highest levels of Congress. In 2006, Ann earned an A.S. degree in Ship System Design Technology from the Maine Maritime Academy. Ann retired from her dream job in 2019 due to ongoing health concerns. In retirement, Ann pursued her many interests including working on arts and crafts projects, writing poetry and studying gemology. A life long animal lover, Ann’s home was never without numerous rescue cats throughout the years.

Aside from her husband John, Ann is survived by her brother, Michael Jackle of Benbrook, TX and numerous cousins. Ann was predeceased by her infant son Peter, her brother Peter Jackle, her Mother and her Father.

Robert Charles Kinne, 78, of Canterbury, Connecticut passed away on October 25, 2025 at Backus Hospital. Bob was a lifelong resident of Canterbury. He was born in Norwich on October 26, 1946 to the late Curtis D. and Mabel (Cunningham) Kinne.

He was married to Debra Farrell on September 18, 1976 at Calvary Chapel in Canterbury. In addition to his wife, Bob leaves behind his sons Curtis C. Kinne and Ryan D. Kinne, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his half-brother James S. Cary and half-sister Ruth Cary Churchville Hibbert and Dorothy Cary Stella.

Bob proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1964 - 1968, having served one year in Da Nang Vietnam during the Tet Offensive. Bob worked for the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation Highway Maintenance for 34 years until his retirement. He later worked 5 years at Frito Lay. He worked part time for Damato Landscaping and as a seasonal security officer serving local agricultural fairs. He served as a constable for the Town of Canterbury for more than 20 years. He was a member of the Canterbury Veterans War Memorial Committee and the Kinne Preserve Bicentennial Park Commission. Bob was a life member of Canterbury VFW Post 10688 as well as a member of the Canterbury/Ekonk Grange for 63 years. He was also a former NRA pistol permit instructor. Bob had a lifelong interest in Native American Indians and often walked along riverbanks and in plowed fields searching for arrowheads and other artifacts. In his youth, Bob developed a friendship with Chief Whiteoak and Princess Red Wing of the Narragansett Indian Tribe. Around 1957, during an Indian Adoption Ceremony in Charlestown RI, Chief Whiteoak and Princess Red Wing honored Bob with the name Red Oak.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to everyone who provided healthcare services and emergency transportation to Bob the past three years. A special thank you to Matt Farrell for his compassion and advice, and to everyone who visited Bob.

Gary Andrew Desmarais, 73, of North Windham passed away Wednesday October 8, 2025 at Backus Hospital. He was the son of the late John and Virginia (Pasek) Desmarais.

Born on April 20, 1952 in Windham, CT, he was a graduate of EO Smith and then went on to serve in the U.S. Marines. He retired from driving truck for over 20 years at Bebe Construction in Storrs, CT.

He enjoyed trips to Vermont, the beach, ice cream, old TV shows, 50s music, playing pool, gathering with friends at the Ukrainian club, and was a turf enthusiast.

He was predeceased by his younger brother John and older brother Ron.

He is survived by his sons, Gary Desmarias Jr. and Adam Desmarais.

Timothy J. Ashe, 62, of Plainfield, NH passed away Monday September 29, 2025. He was the son of the late William and Shirley (Bressor) Ashe.

Born on May 14, 1963 in Springfield, MA, Tim attended Cathedral High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Western New England College. He loved radio and started his professional career at WTSL Radio in Lebanon, NH. For the last 22 years, Tim worked at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, NH as a Health Information Systems Analyst. Tim spent much of his adult life in New Hampshire’s Upper Valley. Tim developed a broad and diverse network of friends, earning him the title of “The Mayor" for his ability to build meaningful and lasting friendships with almost everyone he met. Family was always his priority, making the effort to be at every event. He had many passions, including classic convertibles, music, his beautiful home, beach trips, and traveling throughout the US - 49 states visited. Many memories were made at places special to him: Ogunquit, ME, The Dunes in Westerly, RI, and “the mansion” in Hanover, NH. He enjoyed joining friends for “prayer meetings", “choir practice”, and trivia nights. He loved spending time at the Canoe Club, Union Village Dam, Harpoon Brewery events, tubing down the White and Connecticut rivers, and hiking to the “top of the world." He truly lived his life to the fullest while thoughtfully keeping his friends close and selflessly bringing his family even closer. He was a precious gift to us all.

He is survived by his siblings Mary Keller (Dave), Peter Ashe (Dyna), Erin Merrow (Terry), and Dan Ashe (Tanya). He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Jacqueline (Brandon) and Halle (Sean), Evan and Matthew, Taylor (Andy) and Paige (Dan), Elizabeth, Owen, and Rebecca, Jake, Katie, and Rosalina.

Joshua Alexander Walmsley, 36, of Chaplin, Connecticut, passed away on September 16, 2025.

Born on August 28, 1989, Josh lived a life full of adventure, hard work, and love for his family. A skilled tree climber, Arborist and devoted outdoorsman, he was never happier than when surrounded by nature. He was also a car enthusiast who loved the thrill and freedom of the open road.

For the past 10 years, Josh and his wife, Arielle, owned and operated Green Valley Tree LLC, building not only a successful business but also a lasting mark on their community.

Above all, Josh was a proud and loving father. His daughters, Juniper and Willow, were the center of his world, and he cherished every moment with them.

Josh is survived by his wife, Arielle; his daughters, Juniper and Willow; his father, John Walmsley; his brother, Christopher Walmsley; his grandparents; nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Kimberly Gardner Walmsley.

He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his dedication, and the deep love he carried for his family and friends.
